A disease has a "lifecycle", it starts off small and gets worse, then either it gets better, it stabilises, or you die. It's common to talk about this as the "progression" of the disease, and indeed we talk about the progression of cancer. So if progress is halted, in the case of cancer (or any disease), that's a good thing.
 
He's a bright chap, lurching, and as English is not his first language I'm a bit in awe of his ability to crack jokes in it.
 
Actually Sam, you're right, there should be a thread, because I've already planned all kinds of GTA V posts. I'm afraid everything's going to get a bit GTA V influenced, but we should fence off the topic, per se.

Just waiting to read in the peeve thread of someone being awake for 5 days & thinking they really are in GTA 5 & going nuts =D

Woke up today feeling like raw death, I never drink booze for a few reasons, the main one is I can't seem to process it right, the times I did DXM it went wrong, it's meant to be something in the liver & linked to breaking down of alcohol, yeah well red wine & gear doesn't mix at all for me. I learned my lesson in the most savage way. Withnail & I part 2 a gwarn sadly Wolves sides, I blamed Jim Morrisons ghost on my behaviour this morning but it aint sitting well with the people I so called "upset"

what was so great about 1996 anyway?

and regarding the evil of facebook, it cant even remotely compare it to ims and emails in regard to how much of a time sucking black hole it can get...
cute chicks on it though.

just like the internet. we all hate something about it but the porn makes the sour pill swallowable. so to speak

I started sixth-form, began getting served in pubs, learned to do make-up and started to morph into a sex god.

Are you sure about that? Facebook has an IM system, so it is as bad as IM, and the standard message system is like email, so it's as bad as email, then it's additionally as bad as all the other facebook stuff!

The fact that facebook sees fit to email me to tell me that someone has sent me a message is the thing that makes me want to kill it dead. I know I can turn it off, it's not getting the email that pisses me off, it's just a reminder that email is millions of times better than facebook messages.

Facebook is, more than anything, a fucking mess. I know where all my emails are. I can sort them, I can search them, I can filter them, I can put them in folders, I can set up rules to put them folders. Email is an actual functioning useful technology. I don't know what facebook is.
 
Breaking Bad should be off-limits, aye! Though we'd probably end up taking all the life and joy out of the thread.

Which would be fine for me, but a bit hard on everybody else.

hmm, i probably missphrased that post... i meant facebook is more evil than the two (im and email) combined.
it boggles the mind how some can sit on it for hours looking up photos of friends' friends' friends' .....

1996. i was hooked on playing computer games. seriously affected my marks in school. also, got my hear broken numerous times by out-of-my-league girls
