Why do courts accept the cop saying a dog hit on something? Here is a case where it was impossible. Dog's cant smell LSD:

3 charged for LSD trafficking in county

This past Friday the 13th was definitely unlucky for three alleged drug traffickers from Florida.

Drug Task Force assistant commander David Harrell said the three men crossed paths with the Florala Police Department at approximately 5 p.m. that afternoon.

“Florala Police Officer Paul Adams made a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by William Corey Forrest,” Harrell said. “Officer Adams spoke with Forrest and the vehicle’s passengers, Michael Edwin Day and Eramis Ian Preyer. After noting that the three men seemed unduly nervous during the stop, Officer Adams walked his K-9 narcotics partner, Bella, around the vehicle.

“Bella indicated the presence of narcotics, and the subsequent search of the vehicle revealed large amounts of LSD in the trunk and on the passenger’s side floor board,” Harrell said.

Adams then contacted DTF agents, who responded to process the scene.

“LSD isn’t something we see on a regular basis here in Covington County,” Harrell said. “I appreciate Officer Adams’ work in this case as he helped remove a large quantity of a very dangerous narcotic.”

Forrest, 21; Day, 20, and Preyer, 23, all of Lynn Haven, Fla., were each charged with drug trafficking and possession of a drug paraphernalia, booked into the Covington County Jail and held on a $203,000 bond.

I dont buy this for an instant.. *yawn* you shysters know you can make your dogs signal on anything and do all the time.. If I were the lawyer I would ask to see training logs for the dog to see if it had even ever been trained for LSD.. yeah get up.. get up.. get up.. get outta here.. GONE.. for the defense and all other cases where this dog was involved as if the dog wasn't trained for LSD yet it it certainly causes alarm for any other case it hit on.. Good boy=D... and if this dog is so smart as to lock onto a drug it hasn't ever been trained for, listen hard coppers as it saying END THE WAR ON DRUGS>> END THE WAR ON DRUGS.. yeah but then you boys would be looking for real job.. as hunting down addicts is easy work.. lets see you flip burgers..

It's ridiculous, they can justify a search for anything as they can easily signal a dog to react as if it does smell drugs.
If they find something, woo hoo the cops and the dogs are heroes, if they don't then everybody goes about their day and nothing gets done about it

Dogs are trained for most of the big name drugs. LSD is probably a big enough name that it's still trained for. However, dogs can definitely detect lsd if they've been trained for it.

The dog handlers just give the dog a cue and the dog reacts = probable cause. They probably just whispered "squirrel"

"After noting that the three men seemed unduly nervous" Thats another excuse used all the time. Most people should be nervous when they get detained by a jack boot thug with a belt full of weapons.

Unless you're black.

For instance:

Personally I get nervous around police whether or not I'm breaking the laws because I feel they have no business accosting me and it takes immense effort to not tell them to fuck off and let me be.

I'd have zero problems with police if they didn't take it upon themselves to stop me from getting high or carrying guns. Both of those things are fundamental rights that cops are always all up in my shit about. Objectively, I'm not a criminal, but the arbitrary laws of this State have turned me into one.

This is one of the most ignorant statements I have ever read.

If you feel safe being detained by an $12. an hour thug that has the power to destroy your freedom with a false statement or $10. worth of substance drooped in your car. Good luck. You put your trust in very dangerous places, people and situations.

RUN FORREST RUN! lol

I think the dog just picked up some lingering scent of some other drug that was manufactured in the same lab as the LSD, or possibly that the vehicle had been used to transport other drugs.
