Figure this is as good an 'intro post' as any. Welcome to my daily (totally prescribed by pdoc normal) breakfast:
40mg methylphenidate
100mg lamotrigine
25mg escitalopram
.25mg haloperidol
200mcg synthroid
Then for lunch I get another 20mg methylphenidate, 3pm snack of ANOTHER 20mg methylphenidate . . .
bedtime is another 100mg lamotrigine and another .25mg haloperidol.
I've been on this diet for about ten years.
Gee, guess who has bipolar disorder?
This means, natch, that I can literally drink 4 of those "five hour energy" drinks in a row and fall asleep just fine. I have a touch of the hypersomnia, too.
It *also* means that none of my scrips can be used recreationally - while the methylphenidate could, in theory, be used as such, well . . . I have ADD so when 100mg of it a day is what keeps me at *baseline feeling like a normal person,* you might start to get an idea of my luck with having any kind of recreation with stims. Or with anything. Add *alcohol* to anything I do, though, and BAM: how is it two days later, and where are my pants?
Which is fine, I guess. I mean, who needs euphoria? I didn't even have that kind of Bipolar Disorder, either. Mine was BPDII NOS, so so mania :C. Well, I guess that's not true; the mania would be in the form of rage, and, of course, panic attacks.
I should be grateful. Just having a boring month, though . . .
