Almost all drug subcultures are accepting of gay people. Anyone else notice that?

By and large (minus alcohol, and i guess rural meth culture), with most drug DOC drug subcultures (dope, molly, weed, psychs, coke, etc...) the average user is pretty accepting of all lifestyles, not just with gay guys. I've seen buffed out redneck lookin (not actual rednecks) guys chop it up, not being awkward, with flamboyant users just because they shared the drug commonality.

Besides pro-gay rights groups, and political liberals... do we come in like 3rd place wtf? Unfortunately this may be because the gay community does have a substance abuse problem different than your average architect; for example. Straight and gay drug users just naturally intermingle.

Also, anyone notice in the Lounge especially on BL, all guys like to play "fake gay"... even more than your average highschool/college kid, seemingly...? :\ Not saying I don't do that to this day, but it's a sign of acceptance I think of gay people.

Hahahah, so true... I've had to educate a lot of exclusively-stoners (which I once was, for 5 years), that using hydrocodone medically is alright if the patient's in moderate pain: even though they are derived from the poppy plant, they aren't "heroin pills" when taken orally at doses <40mg/day.

Also, I've had to school a lot of people on ultra-low-dose SSRI's, such as 2.5mg Zoloft daily, 10mg Prozac daily, 3mg mirtazapine daily, taken for anxiolysis for serious anxiety is alright, SSRI's might be overprescribed in dosage and frequency, but in ultra-low doses they might be effective anxiolytics.

The least I've had to explain about pharmaceuticals in benzos, seems like every casual drug user uses street/Rx xanax/Klonopin these days, so they see little harm in it. I've had to explain in simple terms how benzos work, and to not drink their "cold ones" after work (2-4 beers daily) on days they have to take the benzos.

Due to all the pharmaceutical Rx drug media scares, negative OC hype, Heath Ledger's death, Eminem's addiction to large amounts of hydrocodone, etc., it seems like the general public unfairly hates on all Rx drugs, as I did somewhat, no matter if they're Tylenol or tiny doses of Hydrocodone when they have moderately serious injuries, and have taken to not taking benzos/treatment and drinking instead since "they don't have anxiety" and don't need meds ("oh noes! I don't PILLS!"), and self medicating their stresses and anxiety with legal drugs, leaving a lot of people prescribed medications to be generally silent and not admit their usage to blend in with pure-stoners, which seem to overpopulate any other kind of drug users in Los Angeles, especially the San Fernando Valley.

The only category of substancei would delete from this world are SSRI's and NBOME'S. A good part of the school shootings in the states were done by people on SSRI's what a coincidence. Secondly they are literally zsombie pills, im sure there is something very dark and vile about them if the media and the governement and the state doctors are pushing them up on the people that way. Call me paranoid....i dont care.... i felt more sane on a high dose of PCP then on SSRI'S. I was already really fucked up when the dumbass doctor convinced me into trying paxil, and it made the anxiety and general derealistion 1000 times worses. I hate the muterfucker who invented them.

Id rather take low doses of K as an antidepressant then fucking prozac. As far as NBOME's go,they are useless and deadly. Original 2c-x's are way better.

As far as being open minded i consider myself open minded toanything taht isnt what i mentionned above. I find lesbians hot, im disgusted by gays but at the same time i dont give a fuck it leaves more women for me ha. And i wont stop talking and chilling with someone if their guy, who they fuck is there problem, i just cant stand the gay people who think they have to tell teh world they like to suck dick and behave like annoying fucking panzies and literally ridiculise the normal gay people. The only drug sub culture im annoyed by are the ''naturalistic idiots''. Only shrooms and weed man, only shrooms and weed maaaaaaan. GO fuck yourself. Heroin and Cocaine come from plants. THey think anything else then weed is the devil, but spend their days eating smoking sleeping gaming and thats it....

What's so wrong with NBOME'S?

Super cheap, not as strong as acid, and tolerance builds... But perfect for a binge every now and then. I noticed no ill effects except for enjoyment.

I wish we had VBOME's, 5c-Ps, M78D's, AK472C-I's....etc...

Deadly potentially, the trip scuks and is devoid of any ''spiritualness'', they are far more unpredictable then classic psychs, and there effects in the long term are completly unknown.

Which ones have you done? I've done "I" and "C".

Granted it's more hedonistic and not as "deep" as LSD (but sometimes a guy wants LSD-lite), it's still less hedonistic than almost every other drug, and deserves its place in the psych food pyramid; I mean they are derived from the 2C family, not totally foreign. The first time I tried 25-I was a week after a one dose LSD trip. I had a fucking great time, I've done about 25 doses of 25I and 25C altogether. No lingering negative effects. Taking a break now.

As for the "long term effects", well any RC user has to deal with that potential.

Yeah I've read about the stories of people taking insane doses and ODing. But you can OD from many of the drugs we love here at BL.
 
More or less nobody cares... until they run out of drugs. The only people who disagree with your point are rural tweakers and country pot-heads.

gay people with hiv are almost all hooked on meth in my city, maybe it helps ease the pain

I don't think this is necessarily drug users but just a certain kind of person. My group of friends use what we call 'gay humour' a lot and when we went on a lads holiday no one understood it at all except a couple of sound guys who were there for a laugh - they weren't the kind of guys that spent ages in the mirror making themselves perfect and manly so that they can pull every night & our group are like that as well. TBH people that don't get 'gay humour' are either insecure or raging knobheads (or both...)

Something else I found on travels is that most non-drug users classify people as 'sound' or not sound when in reality pretty much everyone you meet when on drugs is in fact sound, the only ones that aren't are the ones freaking out with a bpm of 302 after being awake for 50 hours and ready to do yet another line of coke and these guys tend to be sound once they've slept. Although all anecdotal data is straight from festivals so maybe thats an exclusive drug group.

Back to gays though, I've never had a problem with gays and while I know people that feel uncomfortable around gay partners, I myself feel uncomfortable when a couple are showing excessive loving in public, emotions which imo should be kept to private. Kissings fine but ten-minute-tonsil-tennis is a tad too far. This goes for mm/mf/ff

Strait people acting fake gay or using 'gay humour'... originated from insecurity I hope we all know as well. I remember high school... wasn't long ago. for some reason we all started doing it at the same time. It was to show we were comfortable with our sexuality and thus not in-the-closet. Just my theory..

The more funny someone was saying fake gay shit or acting it out... the less likely someone would think they are gay for real or call them a fag as an insult. And fag or homo carries more weight than bitch or pussy as far as disses go...last time I checked...
