Taking revenge.....

Best to turn the other cheek in the vast majority of cases.

There are exceptions of course, but yeh, taking revenge can often just make things 'snowball'.

But these cases for various reasons Iv had to leave it at the time. Now these cunts think I'm a pushover, In the past Iv had to wait years to smash fuck out some people after I did though its crossed off my list. Now I'm 26 not 20 and I'm starting to wonder if its possible to just 'let go'
Mainly people that have been running their mouths or owe me money n shit
Move on, take up meditation, and also alter your attitude? Maybe you do need to be a bit more assertive, but that doesn't mean 'revenge'. It'll be better for you in the long run.

Holding such ugly thoughts only serves to damage your own life, the original wrongs have already happened and that you can never change.

Revenge is nothing more than committing more wrongs, hurting 'bad' people is still hurting and no real good will ever come of it.

Throw that baggage away and get on with your life FFS

force feed them half a bottle of this shit

I'll tell you from experience that it doesn't make you feel better.

Before you can at least think he/shes a shithead, now both of you are.

OP: I think we've all been where you are now.

Revenge could just lead to further counter attacks, its easier said than done I know only too well but try to forgive them, move on, and look on what happened as a "learning opportunity" or an opportunity for "personal growth". It may sound like psycho-babble bullshit but the way a person looks at things makes all the difference.

If a simillar situation arises again you might be able to deal with it in a better way, a way that doesnt leave you carrying the heavy burdens of anger and hate.

An eye for an eye..

Makes the world a fair place.

'fair'...never sure what that means. I don't have any expectations that life is going to be fair, in fact I'm pretty certain it mostly is not.

Striking back in such a way achieves nothing other than damaging yourself .

I understand the argument about, what if someone raped your daughter etc, I have a daughter and of course I would want to kill them, I may even do so but it would not make it right.

reasons and justification are quite distinct things and what justice means I don't know.

Revenge is nothing more than an expression of hatred and violence towards another, there can be no justification for this that holds water IMHO

Taking revenge can = justice.

I disagree that striking back achieves nothing other than damaging yourself.

Have you ever got revenge?

Feels good man.

Look some dude who was supposed to be my friend owed me money. Had it and flat out refused to pay, told me to get lost insulted my other friends and all. I tried asking nicely for like 2 months gave multiple options on how to pay back, everything. Got told to fuck off every time. Finally had enough, found his car, let out his tires (just let out the air no other damage). Next day he's calling me and asking when can he pay me back.

Did I get my money? Yes.

Did it make me feel better? No. Before he was a shit head. Now we both are.

So no, it's not worth it.

Few things annoy me more than people who enjoy playing the hard man character. Grow up and move forward with your life.
