Well I've just received news that means I'll probably be finishing the entire few boxes in one day but definitely very relieved!
So I've been looking for a place to stay in London that would allow me to get to uni fairly easily since the one I'd been counting on is over an hour away, but at least I always had that as a backup. Just called the lady who was supposed to rent out the room to me and apparently it's no longer available and she had no intention of telling me. So basically I'm moving back to London in two weeks and I've literally got nowhere to stay. So yeah. I am absolutely and utterly fucked.
/rant.

I was supposed to give you some ideas re accomodation. So here's a couple:

You could do worse than have a look about this part of Kennington: http://goo.gl/maps/ikasJ - 18 minutes to uni on the bus, 40 minute walk
That's a decent pub too.

This http://goo.gl/maps/NzmOT is the place my ex stayed in Stepney Green, it's the victorian block to the north. There is a lovely courtyard. 5 mins walk to S.G. tube. 30 mins to uni on tube. 40 by bus.

Neither of these areas should be too expensive. That's relative, of course, but they're towards the lower end of central prices.

Strange mix of shame and Lenor :D - How you smelling this day?

Like a wet cat, same as usual ;)

Such a close call for signing, was to mashed & forgot a review last Friday, had to say I was sick & just about puled it off or I would have been looking at 15 weeks cut.
By the skin of my teeth but I managed to do it.

Yeah I just found out yesterday that my claim has been suspended since the 16/8 until they receive more info about my housing situation.
I already gave them that info in March plus how the fuck does my housing situation affect my jobseeking allowance?
Plus jobcentre sending me to job interview next Wednesday to a place that is very awkward to get to on public transport.
Really feel like they have got it in for me at the moment.
Well done on avoiding a sanction Bodda. How can someone survive with no income whatsoever?

Your JSA is tied in with your housing, you loose one they both vanish sadly.
I came off a 4 week sanction a few weeks ago sadly but things are back to normal now.
With all these cuts it will only push up the crime rate as people have to survive & with no income what do they expect people to do, I guess you can try for hardship allowence or go try the local food bank if their is one in your area, also maybe try the crisis loan people.

I feel for you, I know the feeling too well.

But I don't claim housing benefit and I'm still living at same place with my mate. He only asks for £15 a week off for me for rent while I'm not working.
So why that should affect JSA in anyway is beyond me.

Can your mate not claim your housing costs for you (that bedroom thing) and then that should open up your JSA?

So they will put you out of your house? Is that not illegal?

No they can't kick me out as it is my friends flat.
I don't claim housing benefit as my mate doesn't want his housing association to know that he is sharing his flat as he doesn't know if that will go down well with them.

My situation is exactly the same as it has been from when I first claimed JSA a year ago and they were fine with it then so don't know what the problem is now.
Apparently a decision should be made today on whether to pay me again or carry on with the suspension.
I'm debating whether to sign off JSA altogether as I still have £1500 left from my tax rebate.
I just need to find out after how long a period of being off JSA is before I can put in a totally fresh claim.
I think it may be 6 months, which if it is I could just about manage.

In some cases he can get paid for letting you stay at his - house / flat share thing.

God your issue is a bit more complexed than most, I can only imagine the issues you are going to have to go through, I truly wish you luck.

Bearlove since these Tory cuts have come in the whole country has gone to shit, you make a mistake twice in a year they cut everything for 15 weeks & it can go up to 2 years cut of everything so people will have no house or food.

If I sign off JSA then they can't bother me at least. Is it 6 months before I can put in a totally fresh claim that won't sort of carry on from my current claim, does anybody know?

Cant see it Maxalfie but I found out if I get back with the witch I can get JSA in Norway (not that it helps you though)
I know it used to be 6 months but with these Tory swine in I bet it's changed, it's about the only thing I can't find.

Not sure if that applies for me as my mate got this flat from a housing association after being in a homeless hostel for a year or so.
It's only one bedroom so my mate lets me have the bedroom as my room and he uses the living room as his bedroom.
Really only supposed to be him living here.

Yeah it's bit of a bugger trying to find out the relevant up to date info, will have to do some digging.
Hopefully they will see my circumstances haven't changed since my initial claim and decide I'm still eligible, we shall see I guess.
Even though the job j have an interview for is gonna be a pain to get to and back from each day, at least if I get the job I can get the jobcentre off my back which would be fucking lovely.

Sounds odd Max. Housing is still completely separate to JSA no?

Maybe they 'doubt' you are at that address? They must have given you more indication of what this is over surely?
