Just wanted to throw this out there... does anybody else have this problem on gear? - I can lie in the bed for hours but never truly fall asleep, I will sometimes go into a little bit of a doze (something like an EXTREMELY light sleep) but I find it impossible to sleep on gear, even when I take some benzos...

It's weird because gear is obviously a sedative. I will stay awake now most likely and go to work at 9 then I will come home and when I run out of my gear tomorrow evening after work sometime I will eventually crash and sleep for a long time (12+ hours)

Does anyone else experience similar sleeping patterns?

Yeah I'm not a full blown addict either Raas but my gear has always kept me awake since the start... Even though I'm totally relaxed it also makes me somewhat giddy and I will stay up reading long articles or watching documentaries... f**kn weird I think..

The only exception is when I have also drink taken

I used to have the same problem when I was using gear.
After a toot I would actually be more talkative and active for a while & it wasn't until several hours later that I would fall into a nice gouch or a proper sleep.

Put it best by the voice of age & experience.

Opiates very commonly cause sleep disruption. Heroin is rather bad for that, in particular, in my experience. Good to keep sleep meds on hand, keeping in mind not to OD yourself by mixing the two.

During the drought, what passed for gear was more, for want of a nicer word, mongy than the decent stuff that's been around lately. The post-drought gear is definitely more buzzy. Two sides of the foil makes me feel wide awake, but completing the full circuit takes the edge off the wakefulness. Eventually I end up drifting in and out of consciousness, nodding out and waking to a laptop in power save. Which is sort of nice, but isn't as restoring as proper deep sleep. I've been known to take 20 ml. of Benylin to get a decent night's sleep.

Yep, extremely common phenomenon matey.

You'll actually find in certain literature that heroin is classed as a 'stimulant narcotic'; which I realise seems like a total oxymoron, but it's bloody true!

My missus can never sleep after she's had gear - you'd think she was on whizz, if it wasn't for her eyes being pinned to fuck! I also had difficulty sleeping on gear before I got a habit, but when I eventually got strung out I found it impossible to sleep unless I'd had gear.

Used to find really difficult to sleep on gear, when I had a habit id always be worrying about how I was gonna get more and without a habit it kept me a wak3 by itching or just overstimulation

I never got a decent nights sleep when I took heroin. Used to wake up hourly but it would fee like I had just closed my eyes and opened them again. I would be so tired the next day. Thats why I used to only take it at weekends when I was not in work

it always ends up being a waste of a good sleep or a waste of good gear. tossing and turning like your clucking in bed aint the one!

lol
btw yeah, same for me. Very hard to fall asleep and usually I wake up several times, drenched in sweat.

I have the opposite problem. I cannot sleep without opiates.

I have been unable to sleep for a week literally without a sufficient dose of opiates.

I usually cannot stay awake when I have some good dope. But I think I tend to fix and then five minutes later up the ante.

When I wake up I fix. Then about five minutes later....
