What was your 1st car ?

My insurance for the 1st year cost more than the sodding car also. :(

10 years no claims now though yipee !
 
1.4 '98 Corsa. £2000. Blue. Reg was S75 AWW. My sister crashed it. I loved that car, even though the gear linkage was held together with a cable tie.
 
I'm in my 40s and never owned a car, always been on bikes anyone else more into two wheels than four? My first bike was a RD125, but it was re-bored into a 180cc and that re-bore made a big difference speed wise.
 
Got this mad pikes peak rally car, blue and black with a huge ass spoiler for a quid in toymaster back some years.
 
A 1985 MG Metro. Mind the MG bit....fucking rapid. Cost £800. Spoilers, sport seats the fackin lot.

A went on to own an orange chevette. 1980............hilariously shite car, I had a 12v mechanics inspection lamp inside for easy skinning up and bong smoking. Also tinted the interior lamps with orange stuff that was for indicator lens repairs so is was nicely dimmly lit when really stoned. Hifi speakers in the boot.......

Was shit slow , but felt more corvette than chevette after a good few bongs.......hazy memories :D
 
A 97 Fiat Punto.... SX ;) £975, and I probably paid that again in repairs over the 8 months I owned it!

An old dealer of mine had one of those with a fucking 1.8 engine in, lowered to fuck. Was great to see it tanking round at ridiculous speeds and then grind to a halt at the hint of a bump in the road =D

After my Fista i got an old Mini, lowered, fat exhausts, twin carbs and MG Metro engine, massive air filters, twin fuel tanks, bucket seats, pounding sound system, Minilite alloys. Fucking loved that car. The only car I've ever loved/liked. All other cars I've owned have just been cars.

But got sick of spending one out of every two weekends replacing or repairing something.
