Stimulants took adderall for first time last night, felt nothing. Want to try again today.

Okay, so let me start off by saying, sorry if this is redundant. I did search through other posts, but nothing that was exactly the same as mine. May or may not matter but since my knowledge of amphetamines is limited, I'd like to be safe.

I have a pretty high tolerance to opiates and a mid level tolerance to benzos.

I came across a few Adderall 20mg IR. As instructed from my friend, I started off with a quarter last night around 7:30 (I know you shouldn't take at night but my thinking is I'm not going to not try it when I get it.) Felt absolutely NOTHING. So, around 9pm, I took another quarter. Still felt nothing. I was yawning the whole time and had no trouble falling asleep around midnight, though it wasn't the best quality sleep.

This morning, I would like to try again as I have a couple left. I'm thinking I should take the whole 20mg IR at one time. But, is it normal to feel NOTHING at 5-10mg? My friend said if I took half last night after 7, I would be wide awake until at least 3 am. Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed. Any help or experience is greatly appreciated! I'm around 5'3 and 135 if that matters

It's normal. 5-10mg is shit. Actually, I advise you to take 2 20mg IR's, you'll feel it.

Another half down the hatch lol. I did take the whole thing this morning and felt a little but i think you guys are right, at least 30-40mg. I know the chemicals are completely different but does a tolerance to opiates matter? And if you don't mind me asking, do you prefer opiates or amphetamines? I think at this point, I'd easily choose opiates. Thanks for the help!

40mg should do it, at least it did for me when I had little to no amphetamine tolerance.

No, your opiate tolerance doesn't matter, two different drugs entirely. As for a personal preference, I choose amphetamines any day.

That's a very small amount you took. 30mg IR is a good starter recreational dose for most people.

Adderall is 25% Levoamphetamine, which effects the peripheral nervous system, whereas Dextroamphetamine (which makes up for the other 75% of Adderall) effects the central nervous system (in other words, its what's responsible for the euphoria or 'high' that users chase).5-10 dexadrine (straight Dextroamphetamine) MIGHT get you a little buzzed, but even then the alternative dose when taking adderall would be 7.5mg (1/4 of a 30mg pill). For noticable effects, take around 15mg. You can also increase the absorption of amphetamines by plugging them or taking tums 20 minutes before taking the amphetamines orally.

(also-be careful if you plug, the BA is super high, almost equivalent to I.V, so if you choose that route of administration, than don't take more than 10mg the first time.

Also, remember that the amphetamine high is quite different from other highs. The first time I got high on Adderall I played some video game with my brother (I NEVER play video games) for eight straight hours and swore I wasn't feeling a thing. Amphetamines make you feel "more sober than sober" until you get into the high doses. You feel energized, alert, confident... but you don't feel at all impaired.
