I don't believe those emails are genuine. I don't believe that someone in that organisation would write such a simple, literal email to someone else in the organisation, conveniently placing all of those phrases in plain text in one neat little capsule for interception. I don't believe they'd neatly tie it up with an indication that greed was the principal motivator.

PP.. Life and death.. comes to most. Most get judged up down i suspend all judgements ATM until i'm called for service. I personally like that old Egyptian queen, 'die daily', horribly.. always so so horribly. Never having taking vengeance of any kind..yet. :) Wanting so much to let the ram in me out but mostly sparing this cold world ATM.
 
It's obvious the Syrian government did not use any chemical weapons, it goes against their strategic interests. First of all they have no need for it as they've been gaining the upper hand on the ground, second they know that the use of WMD is a red line they cannot cross as it would draw Western military intervention, it's counter-productive.

The Saudi intelligence services have been doing all the dirty work supporting salafists and other Sunni extremists in the country, I wouldn't put it past them to cause a false flag to change the course of the conflict, a lot of the insurgents are foreign anyway, so they wouldn't even be killing their own.

I'm glad my grandpa and aunties are still in Beirut after the wedding I went to, they were supposed to go back to Damascus on thursday but have decided to stay in Lebanon. Would hate to have relatives under Nato bombs.

The Dull Care ceremony is nothing more than an elaborate bonfire. In fact, the real bonfires held on November the 5th (and forget the superimposed Guy Fawkes story) have more of a real connection to pagan ritual.

You're welcome to those views (although I think they're less your views than the views of lunatic conspiracy theorists) but don't expect people not to challenge them when you make assertions.

I have no doubt that there is a 'conspiracy' of sorts underpinning the major global power structures, but I believe it has less to do with things that go bump in the night and more to do with cash registers that go 'ker-ching' in the afternoon. I certainly don't believe in the kind of conspiracy theory which you appear to be steeped in.

There's no occult conspiracy at play here, talking about Illuminati or whatever other garbage lowers the debate in my opinion.

There's an ongoing regional struggle for power between the Sunni oil monarchies of the Gulf and Shia Iran, Syria just happens to be a battlefield, where the Alawite minority that's been controlling the country for decades is fighting with help from Iran and Hezbullah against savage Sunni radicals armed and financed by the Kingdom of Saud, the Qataris and their Western allies. The uprising was originally genuine and local, however the insurgency was usurped by foreign players. Today there are even Sunni Syrians who have gone back to supporting the regime after witnessing first hand the barbarity of the foreign terrorists(Western media like to call them rebels).

As for Israel on the one hand they would prefer the status quo as Assad is not a threat to them and would keep the Golan quiet as he has for the past few decades, on the other hand though they would love to have Syrian air defences neutralized so that in case of an attack on Iran they can overfly the country without repercussions.

I have no doubts in my mind the regime is not crazy enough to have used chemical weapons, very likely the rebels did it, it's a sign also that both the US and the UK want to start the offensive before the UN report on the attack, as it would probably show an inconvenient truth.
