I've been smoking for about a year and a half between 5-7 times a week and I haven't had any negative effects but I stopped for a month and just got back into it and the last 2 times I've been getting very shaky and stiff, will this pass possibly once my body gets used to it again or will I have to just get used to it?

this happens to me occasionally. ive been smoking everyday for about 4 years.
ive put it down to the cold haha. it seems to only happen around winter or colder weather.
but if there is a real reason for this id like to know.

it could be your blood sugar. does it go away after you eat something? otherwise i'd just say it's basic tension.

Low blood sugar bro. Good chance. I've passed out after experiencing the same thing.

i dunno. when ever ive encountered low blood sugar ive never had twitches. i normaly eat a balanced diet so my blood sugar should be ok? ill have to do some reading.

Cannabis lowers blood pressure in the majority of smokers, but the ones who notice it the most are people who already have low blood pressure. Shakes, some degree of ataxia, and reduced alertness are all signs.

What you need to do is avoid smoking weed if you haven't recently eaten, and make sure your electrolytes are balanced. Emergen-C or another electrolyte solution will help your blood pressure to stabilize. Or you can just eat something salty.

I have the same problem you do which is why I can't smoke and then sit around. I need to keep moving. Any kind of cardio will normalize your BP, so after you smoke try going for a walk. Keeping your core warm also helps so dress appropriately.

is it worth getting my blood pressure checked?
i knew it lowered it, but if im getting shaky and stuff coz i already have low bp is that a bad thing?
sorry to the OP, sorta took over your thread haha

Not sure where you live, but here in North America drug stores have automatic blood pressure machines. They're easy to use. Could be worth knowing if you have lower than average BP. Low BP is not seen as a bad thing in modern medicine but in older people (middle age and beyond) it can be a stroke risk factor.

I can't guarantee that your shakes are due to low BP, but that or low blood sugar are common causes. I'm just saying it's worth looking into. You can also just try smoking less weed in a smoking session.

i live in australia so id have to go to the doctors. but what ever, its not effecting me in anyway serious.
ha i wish that was the case. i smoke pretty much all day everyday. so theres not really anymore or anyless.

perhaps, but like i said, its not affecting me in a major way and its very uncommon.
and its not like i sit infront of the tv with my mixbowl,
i know my limits, and pace myself throughout the day.
when i was working it was mostly nights and weekends.
and a sneaky joint at lunch time

Well, every person needs to figure out root causes for themselves. If I were in your shoes, I will reduce intake or even take a break. Then once the break is over, I would see if smoking again causes the shakes. If it doesn't, then you know it had something to do with your frequency of use or dose.
