Bupe Heroin to get off subutex and pain pills to get off heroin?

So I have been off subs and H for 24 days. I have not felt any sub withdrawals [...] I am taking dihydrocodeine combined with morphine extended release so maybe that is why I do not have sub withdrawals.

Yeah no shit! when you stop taking the DHC/morphine, you'll feel the withdrawals, believe me.

By the time I stop morphine/DHC the subs would have been out of my system, so I won't be feeling sub withdrawals but maybe morphine/DHC withdrawals.. By the way I will taper the morphine/DHC and am keeping my dose low...Surely its better to go through some sao withdrawal then sub? and when going through sao withdrawal you can take a gabapentin or clonidine or a clonopin to help with sao withdrawal. Is that not a better plan?

You are going to withdraw from something unless you are weaning down. Also morphine and DHC w/d is going to be just about as bad as H withdrawal if you are using amounts of = strength. Why would you not just wean off the Subs, that is what they are specifically best made for. The only logical thing might be to get down to like .5-1 mg subs and use (very sparingly) something weak like codeine to get through the Sub w/d, but anything giving full relief is a waste of time. You can wean off Subs really slow, like .1 mg a week once you are donw to around 2 mg and then jump at .1 or less and feel little w/d.

Yes I did wean off the subs, got down to 0.5./0.4. I was lurking around under 1mg since March. So I believe I tapered much as possible. I don't think it would have made much of a difference in the way of withdrawals if I went lower then 0.4. I just had enough and wanted out.

As for my current situation so far not too bad, it's doable. I am keeping my sao dose low. I got off the morphine and experienced slight sweat but clonidine took care of that. Now I am on 90mg time release dihydrocodeine and low dose of codiene. Will start to wean off that in the coming days.

I do not think the doses of saos I am taking can break through much of sub withdrawals? it is like very very mild withdrawals thus far, no depression yet, can still do house chores and go outside.

Only symptom I have is some restlessness/insomnia, but that is to be expected right?

I am hoping since it's gone a month I am past the worst? all that is left now is the mental readjustment? I am still not too emotional yet, I thought I would get these feelings sooner but I am feeling some what clearer everyday. I hope I do not get hit with PAWS? do any of you think because I was on low dose of subs for the past 3 1/2 years and tapered down to 0.4 that I might scrap by PAWS or they will be short lived? I do work out a lot and I never was a long term drug addict. I do not have underlying problems or anything of the sort, never suffered depression. I am also 32 so hopefully age plays a part here no?

thanks for your opinions guys.
