DEA Announces Largest-Ever Synthetic Drug Takedown

You got to love this drug hysteria the DEA put out & the sad thing is your average person buys into it.

Over here when MXE for example was banned & my mom was giving me one of lectures backed up with "evidence" from a BBC news report, I showed her some 1940's cannabis warnings as an example of how stupid it all is.
Sad thing was she turned round & said the people in power wouldn't lie about drugs.
 
but they lie about everything else, what gives her the impression they wouldn't lie about drugs?

& if truly, drugs money is being channeled to terrorist groups, something I suspect to be generally bullshit but is certainly possible, then perhaps the consideration of a law change so as to channel the profits into our terrorist governments might be a little overdue, eh?

I may have missed this and could have already been said but I read that "Project Synergy used new legislation which enforces a 'Reverse onus of proof' on the synthetic drug business, whereby the drugs are presumed to be illegal unless proof to the contrary is supplied"

How could this be? Don't cops have to do any work at all??

I'm sure that people are still innocent until proven guilty. The actual contraband, however, is illegal until proven legal. They apply that standard to all confiscated property.

Just wondering if anyone knew weather this legislation has passed yet or has just been announced... Not sure how many aussies will read this tho..

It says that new legislation has been announced but doesn't say weather it's actually been implemented and passed through government.
With this new legislation 'reverse onus of proof' it takes away all 'loop holes' for manufactures to make new substances as it makes all compounds illegal unless proven otherwise. Sorry hard to explain... Just wondering if this is actually law yet or has just been proposed.

My bag of sugar if somehow was suspected to be an illegal compound, could be seized and it would be up to me to prove that it's just sugar (obviously easily done..not the best analogy) but do you get my point? Sorry not good with words... Just wondering about the law because if it has been passed then the way I read it is that any 'suspected' illegal substance will be treated as such until proved otherwise....No more new drugs at all. Everything is illegal and its not the police that have to prove otherwise, it's me/us...

All that is really fine point legal shit, and Im in no position to comment really, but I imagine the laws will just get tougher and harder to circumvent in the future. I have no idea of the laws really, but I am surprised it has been so seemingly easy for some producers and manufacturers to sell products which are borderline illegal here in the past few yrs. I guess they have got by with such things as 'not for human consumption' etc and compounds that are not illegal as yet (or weren't).

I have no idea if the law(s) you are referring to have actually been passed or are in the process of being passed here.
 
everyone be thankful you dont live in Louisiana,its horrible here right now.Its like they have a personal vendetta against everyone whos not a cop or preacher .they have put 50 plants on ban.and im talking yard and garden plants,like the angel trumpet for instance,saying its a potential hallucinogenic ,yet I get clonazepam, zanidine, oxycontin 40, sertraline, zolpidem, tramadol, and gabapentin all givin to me and paid for by the government. I can only wonder what the long term side effects of all these are ,and all the different chemicals they contain. years ago the fda approved a drug called phen phen and redux,after it caused 6 million people to have heart attacks and related heart problems they said oops!! and pulled it.and then made the pharmaceutical company pay to the tune of 3.4 billion dollars out to people that were harmed and or to the families that some had died. Do I personally trust the FDA or any offical for that matter? HELL no! OUR RIGHTS ARE BEING VIOLATED .we no longer have freedom in this country.Have you checked out the unregulated chemicals in the drinking water in this country? its frightening.Hitler didnt have shit on this country,we`re human guinea pigs every second of everyday.ITS time for a revolution.Their stocking up on ammunition and building these huge camps all across the U.S. and distracting us with stupid shit like cannabis,its time people wake up before its to late. Look up the sites,what the government dont want you to know.They want to dumb us down,not let us enhance because of what we would find out.
