Is it safe to drink tuscosed linctus?

(Contains 14mg Diphenhydramine HCL, 10mg Codeine Phosphate, 5mg Ephedrine HCL and 40mg Sodium Citrate ) for every 5ml. Theres 125ml in the bottle but less since its been used, id say less than or a quarter has been taken. Honestly it sounds pretty wild. DPH+Codeine+Ephedrine should be a crazy high. Is it safe? To drink the entire bottle? No inactive ingredients stated on box. It also smells gross so if im doing it then i'll have to slam the entire bottle at once.
 
if theres 100ml in the bottle, the dose of Diphenhydramine would be big enough to cause dissociation, and not in any pleasant sort of way. I don't know about the Ephedrine HCL, but im sure someone else here will know.

I know what it is, I just have no personal experience with it, and I'don't know what a safe dose of Ephedrine is. I would not suggest drinking the whole thing. Research safe doses of the ingredients, do the math, and take a reasonable dose.
 
If you drink enough of this formulation to get high, you'll also be consuming high enough doses of DPH to possibly cause delirium, and a nasty dose of Ephedrine, which is more or less speed and releases noradrenaline. I can't imagine it would be any fun at all.

Sounds like a lovely formula for horrid panic attacks.
 
I wouldn't want to even try taking enough to get to 1/2 of what you need to get high on codeine. Maybe you can extract the codeine and just take all of it (if this is possible I cannot say, or if it can be done safely, accurately, or easily???), which still isn't enough to reach your 300 mg preferred dose.

Check that out, 50+ mg is a "heavy" dose, and you have no experience with it. If the bottle ha 100 mL left you are taking 5mgx20=100 mg, on top of having a probably unpleasant dose of DPH and mild dose of codeine. It sounds way too dangerous to be even contemplate doing it.
 
^I can't speak for possible interactions, obviously benzos/opiates combined should be treated with caution. But theoretically it will keep you BP and body temp down, which is good with the dose of ephedrine. If you do choose to do this, stay hydrated, don't over exert, Honestly I would just toss out the bottle of whatver its called. You are basically losing 250 mg of codeine, no one should be crying over that.
 
For you to get to even half of your 300mg codeine target, you will have consumed 210mg diphenhydramine along with 75mg ephedrine; now, 210mg DPH will surely alter the headspace of your codeine high in a potentially unpleasant way, but if it was the only other ingredient it would at worst be something you don't repeat again because you don't like the effects. The ephedrine on the other hand is at a pretty high dose, and I really wouldn't want you to take that. It's working primarily on increasing synaptic norepinephrine levels, and I'm afraid that would invariably be uncomfortable and with potential cardiovascular troubles.

When we get into taking one psychoactive at appreciable doses to counter the sides of a primary recreational psychoactive it becomes an area where we have to tread very lightly. I would not suggest taking a benzodiazepine to counter the effects of the ephedrine. You're just adding more variables in an attempt to tie up a select few.

This type of stuff is never smart.
These cough syrups and the like are not meant to be drunk all at once. Who wants to live like that? Go smoke a joint or something. Or wait until you get a better drug. This is like one step above drinking listerine or something. It shouldn't even be a consideration. There should be like a barrier of common sense that protects you from seriously considering it.
 
^Common sense comes from a certain level of knowledge of the subject at hand. The OP is asking a question to become better informed, and then make that common sense decision you're going on about.

Sorry for not empathizing better. I gave you a straight answer, but I did not consider your perspective.
Unfortunately, most of these preparations contain ingredients that will make you sick if you try to take them for the high.
Even some narcotic pills contain things like apap/tylenol which will actually harm you, in order to put some limit on abuse potential.
