From what I've heard ecstasy doesn't affect your speech but when I rolled for the first time (just one pill) when I was peaking (which lasted around an hour) I was talking in a strong American accent and everyone around me could notice it too (they were sober) and I also found it hard to get my words out and make full sentences, almost as if I was slurring my speech. Is this normal?

different drugs affect different people differently.

i've experienced a change in my ability to speak normally due to mdma.

Sre you American? if not then that's a bit weird hahaha when I roll hard it's difficult with the jaw clenching eye wobbles etc.

Maybe you are just putting more affectionate intonations into your speech and it comes out sounding American. I know I speak sort of differently while rolling and I put it down to a mixture of shouting (cos in club) and having a generally different tone because I'm more interested in and more readily sympathetic with the people I'm talking to.

Edit: I used to speak slower and with a sort of slur when peaking, doesn't really happen any more though

I apparently have what my friends call my "MD voice", I can't really remember exactly what it sounds like but I think I talk VERY softly (I am normally very loud and shouty haha) and I sound continuously amazed/overwhelmed, aha. Another friend is a big gurner and you can hear that in their voice usually.
