Better solvent for washing crystals?

It seems like no matter what there is product loss. Even using ice cold tone dried with MgSO4 results in loss. There's a post somewhere about acetone absorbing H2O quickly, any truth to this?

For like cocaine, yeah, you're probably going to lose a high amount of powder depending on what it's cut with, but loss of active ingredient should be minimal.
