Opioids Low dose of methadone + H?

I'm wondering if I could take 10-20mg of methadone and do a shot of H in about ~9 hours?
I just want to take the methadone to curb the cold sweats while I sleep. And my dealer isn't awake, so thats not an option.

I know this might decrease the feeling of the H but is it really noticeable with such a low dose of methadone?
 
Also, any hazards of combining these with my daily medications? Ambien IR 10mg and Ativan 2mg. I know benzos and opiates are a lethal combo but I take the prescribed amount and have no issues.
 
depends on how the methadone will effect you.. . how much heroin do you typically use?? you still will feel the heroin as it is a low dose of methadone and it is something you do not take regularly so it has not had a chance to build up in your body. be safe some people over do a shot of heroin when they have taken methadone earlier in the day and leaves them in a bad spot.

seems like you have a good understanding about your mixing of benzos so i would just try and keep that in mind. you take the prescribed amounts which is great but you are not prescribed opiates. take small doses at first if/when mixed and get a personal feel for the effects and being in a "safe" range. take care!

Thank you for the friendly response, I appreciate that. I don't find benzos to be recreational for me unless I take 8mg of Xanax or about 12mg of Ativan. Which I never do. Anything less than that I just feel normal and my anxiety is at ease. I usually take this with my opiates, so I don't see it being an issue. But I didn't know if Methadone worked differently with benzodiazepines.

Opiate/H usage.
I usually do a whole bag in one shot. It gives me a little nausea but nothing I can't handle. I took 20mg of Methadone around 3 hours ago, then dosed my 2mg of Ativan an hour and a half later or so.
I'm at a comfortable level, when I wake up in about ~9 hours I'm probably gonna do half a bag and go from there. Just because of Methadone's half life. Would this be safe? I figure a half a bag will give me what I'm looking for and if not I can always do the other half. I have pretty good judgement when it comes to how much I should take.

Also, say if I was high on opiates or H before bed, is there any problem with taking my Ambien? Or should this be avoided?
 
no problem... these are good things to be thinking about. it is good that you do not take those high doses of benzos, cause that is high! keep sticking to the typical dose that your body has become use to in aiding you with your anxiety.it sounds like you have been taking ativan for more then a minute.

methadone is a long acting opioid and as you know ativan is a benzodiazepine.. the one major thing to take into consideration is they both are CNS depressants. this is why they can be a dangerous combination, leading to greater respiratory depression and sedation. this is also something to take into consideration with your ambien. if you are not familiar with the mixing of heroin and zolpidem again start out with lower doses. just like you are talking about using a half a bag instead of the typical full bag on top of the methadone you have taken today. this is smart thinking and good HR. best to keep using that good judgement in testing the waters instead of just jumping into them! don't want to sink... .

keeping things lower is not only safer but will also help keep your tolerance down.. which is a very good thing IMO.
 
Try to keep double posts to a minimum as the mods generally don't like it as it clutters the thread. Use the edit icon if you need to add anything. Regarding your post I personally would save the methadone for when your out of heroin. This is easer than done though as i know i like to potentate my tramadol and deal with the consequences when the time comes
 
Personally low dose methadone has always treated me well when in combination with heroin. Definitely increases opioid effects (methadone has too be under blockade effects mg-wise).

Plus I have quite the heroin habit, so methadone has always kept my well for awhile.
