YES this is very true. I know people who think all sort of ignorant things, and even spread that info around like the myth that ecstasy or MDMA and even MDA are coke, heroin, and a bunch of different drugs all mixed together. Or you read about how people will pass of research chemicals as "LSD" or some other drug and then people take way too much of it or take it too fast by snorting it and die.
 
It mostly kills me how people are literally rotting their fucking kidneys drinking DXM or adulterated codeine as apposed to buying some fucking PCP or just popping some norcos...

Here in texas both are less of a hassle to get and are more worth the money and time....

^I'm not challenging the notion that excess sugar is bad for the kidneys, but that abstract only discusses the kidneys' role in concentrating and recirculating glucose. Glucose is literally a very sharp molecule that, in high concentration, can damage capillaries in all tissue, not just renal tissue. The smaller the blood vessel, the more damage glucose can do to it.

How much sugar is even in a standard bottle of Robitussin? Would you advocate that people do PCP instead of drinking a milkshake? (not that I would necessarily disagree with that advice)

No I’m not advocating drug use, but I am advocating a better choice in drug usage.

I highly doubt there is more sugar in a milkshake than chugging multiple bottles of robitussin and watermelon arizonas a day...

inactive ingredients for the DXM only syrup: I’m pretty sure super high levels of ingestion aren’t too good.

anhydrous citric acid, benzyl alcohol, ethyl acetate (i’m looking into), FD&C red no. 40, glycerin, high fructose corn syrup (basically sugar), menthol, natural & artificial flavor (no clue on the actual chemical in question), propylene glycol, purified water, sodium benzoate, sucralose, triethyl citrate

Don't mean to go off topic here , but I believe the majority of homebake in nz is now being made from diverted MS and then acetylised, rather than the much more complicated old school homebake work-up from OTC codeine which involves multiple precursors that are now watched since the whole meth "epidemic". Not to mention the restrictions on OTC codeine itself with limits on purchase amounts, monitoring of sales and reformulation to make extraction more difficult.
Considering the low purity of street gear, if done correctly heroin obtained via this route would be a safer option.

I don't get what you're saying. Any one can go get a degree in organic chemistry if they desire, and almost all of the equipment required is available.

My point was that the average junkie wants to take codeine in pills with APAP and caffeine and take some picture walk through and come up something that is injectable. They're not doing it to sell, but to get high and might even be in withdrawals.

My point was that trying your own synthesis does not automatically make it safer than shooting up some street smack, as the previous poster seemed to be implying.

It's not like your gonna be going into WD and it's easier to come up with watched chems and a bunch of pure solvents amongst other things than to just get some more gear or other opiates.

Actually I didn''t imply that it would be "automatically" safer and I was referring to the more commonplace homebake from MS not via demethylation of codeine .
An average street deal of 30% purity would leave you with let's say a 70% potentially dangerous unknown content on the other hand if you all of a sudden got a very pure bag at 75% you could easily overdose, due to such variables I stand by my statement that if you have pure morphine and you know how to acetylate it to heroin and have the facilities to do so correctly, then it would be a safer option.

I don't think synth talk is allowed on here, nor do I think it's very good HR advice to suggest that turning MS contins into "something" injectable is as easy as mixing a pill, some foil, AA and leaving for a few hours then wheel filtering and injecting. I know nothing of the process, but the fact that you make it sound that simple, which it may be, still, I don't think it's a very good thing to be suggesting on a HR forum. No offense man, just some people may get the wrong idea. This is way off topic, too. So, yeah, maybe I shouldn't have even posted this. It's just that when I read it, I thought that for some people reading this it could cause a lot of harm.
