Psychedelics + weed = seizures?

the brain is such a funny thing, everyone can say that its nbome that caused it (it most likely is) but i have experienced blackouts (my friend said i looked as if i was having a seizure though) off mushrooms and 2CT-7 (the latter being an accidental dosing nasally)

It would happen where i began to feel anxious, things began going 1000x faster and then boom, i was out, it has happened like 3 times now in my life taking psychedelics, it definitely makes me ponder what it might be that caused them, other than the latter beign a very close call to SS and death :/ ...

I really do wonder what it is that has caused me to have these blackouts, i have never had a seizure in my life (not that i know of) and i dont intend to stop taking psychedelics, i just dont use them often and when i do its with alot more caution

weed definitely makes tripping a whole lot more intense, not good if ur prone to a bit of ego loss , that being said i actually read ur post and u sir is an example of why some people shouldn't take psychedelics :/ if you are freaking out and choking your friend i think you should look at why you are taking these chemicals in the first place?

I have experienced blackouts off of huge waterfall bong hits man. Like, I'd fall down to the floor, lose consciousness and my leg would be kicking involuntarily then I'd come to a few seconds later. It wasn't a real seizure and it happened while I was holding a huge hit in. You still don't have any point though, it was either the NBOME or the weed.

Why is it either one or the other? A combinations of factors can lower the seizure threshold. Cannabis potentiates / intensifies effects from psychedelics so maybe in some people who are particularly sensitive this combination constitutes a certain overactivity that causes seizures. I would bet that taking a sufficiently high dose of a psychedelic alone would also give such a person a relatively big chance of a seizure. Or anything else that simply lowers the seizure threshold too much.
For me personally aa serious dose of a full-on psychedelic plus nitrous is potentially problematic and it really felt to me like if I had continued with that combination I would have continued getting seizure or similar epileptiform activity. However nitrous alone or psychedelics alone never did this.

In my case I simply think I took it too far and I did not keep getting scary episodes within a certain timeframe, it was of a different magnitude than the sounds of this thread.

Thanks for the quick replies! And believe it or not I'm actually going to see a neurologist here pretty soon for some sort of brain scan. And also I have already quit taking psychedelics, I can't honestly say that I'm the type of person to handle psychs well. And I knew it was nbome because the supplier later admitted it.

When you speak to the neurologist, if you are in a civilized country you should understand that patient privacy legislation protects any information* you choose to share with your doctor. I strongly encourage you tell the neurologist about any and all relevant history of drug usage, and please don't feel afraid to. Your physician should always have as their primary concern your safety and well-being, so you really do need to be totally honest since it is very much your life on the line.

*except as relates to an immanent danger to yourself or others, e.g. "I'm going to murder Ross Perot tomorrow".

Well actually I agree with you. I obviously didn't mean either one or the other I just typed it in a confusing way.
