Hey just curious, I had a bag a of etizolam that got a bit of water inside of it, it wasn't completely soaked but it turned the fine dusty powder into a clumpyish moist powder, so I opened up the bag and let it dry for around two weeks. So after it was done drying it was stuck to the bag, so I had to scrape it into another, and what was once a very fine fluffy powder is now more dense but still a powder, the only thing I can think to compare its appearance to is an off white 2ce like appearance. So I was just wondering if its still going to be as potent as before? I know its not as unstable as a tryptamine when it comes to moisture but I was just wondering If I basically just destroyed a couple hundred mgs of etiz as I never really envisioned something like this happening and haven't found any other reports about this, if anyone can let me know it'd be appreciated.

Unless its been mixed with an oxidizer, or already been run through someone's liver, it should be no different.

Just because a drug gets wet, doesn't mean it's changed. Sure, water molecules may be sticking to it - making it moist, but it's not like that's gonna matter in your stomach, or blood stream.

Alright nice, Yea I guess It was a silly question I just didn't really ever think to read up about benzos and like drugs getting wet as a I just didn't ever think it'd be a scenario I'd face. My main concern was it being exposed to the open air for a while and after it dried the drastic change in appearance and texture, I just wanted to make sure. I'll give it a whirl later tonight. Has anything like this happened to anyone else though? if so how did it turn out? I'm guessing everything would be fine by whats been posted above but still just curious if there's any other way it could have degraded.

It's happened to me a couple times after I ran a bag of pills through the wash. Pisses me off when I do it.

It usually IS less powerful when that happens, but I'm sure that's just due to the fact that some of the drug was lost to the washing machine. It it were to get wet then dry out with every last drop of it remaining, I'm sure their would be no difference in effect.

One thing you don't want to get wet though, is weed. Unless you're purposely letting it float in an osmosis tank, getting weed wet makes it significantly less potent. I'm assuming this is due to a couple things. One, now that it's moist, it can't burn as well - less heat means less evaporation of THC. Two, THC is a lipid. That means it will easily stick to water and "wash away"

uhm, quite the opposite... (THC is not a lipid, it's a hydrophobic cannabinoid - and hydrophobic compounds don't dissolve in water.) the reason you don't want to get weed wet is because it grows mould.

You're actually right about the repelling water aspect of THC. I don't know where I got that from :/

However, 99% of hydrophobics are lipids (fats). Due to the fact that THC dissolves in ethanol (and other solvents), dissolves in other lipids, and is itself, very oily and lipid-like in nature; I'm going to assume it's a lipid. This would also explain its ability to be store in body-fat, much longer oral absorption rate, and also why it takes 3-5 weeks for the drug to be gone entirely from your system.

Spread it on a warm plate that is heated up in the microwave for like 20 sec.

This will help it dry faster without effecting potency.

Thanks for the advice man, I should have posted this right when it happened, but yea I've been testing it tonight and nothing too notable has changed potency wise. though earlier in the morning I took a somewhat light dose of metiocin and once that wore off I added about 70mgs of apvp in small increments (save these two for a different day, no positive synergy at all. My usual daily/every other day routine is 7-14 mgs etiz give or take, but tonight because of a kind of foolish decision earlier its aproching the 20 mg mark so idk yet, everything seems the same but the taste, the taste of the etiz has a bitterness to it. I'll report back tomorrow when I have a better mind state to determine if anything is different, doubt it will be though

But as for the weed not getting wet, I've always heard not to get it wet because the crystals wash off and mold can grow. But I had an aunt that swore that getting weed a little moist then putting in the microwave for a few seconds made it better somehow, never tried it myself it kind of sounded like one of those drug myths to me but who knows

Are benzos even water soluble? I know opiates are, but for some reason I didn't think benzos, OK fuck it, theinodiazepines, were water soluble. I'm often wrong, but I doubt potency was affected.

That's what I was thinking too, though I've always seen that said when iv'ing is the topic of discussion, which for me needles just aren't my thing, so I didn't read to much into it. If later in life I do turn to them it will only be IM for ketamine and mxe, just to experience the "true hole" you hear people talk about with that roa, but that's still a MAJOR if, I cant see my holes getting all that better, but to each his own, cant hate on someone for doing something they've got a thing for. stay safe!

i had almost this exact thing happen once with xanax footballs, "they got a little wet" says my hook, i'm like, OK, whatever as long as all the footballs are there, i don't care if they're a little soggy... it doesn't hurt the benzo any it will be as strong as it always was but it will cause you minor inconvenience in that all the wet pills tend to fall apart and you get this huge amount of powder and it makes it pretty much impossible to measure out your dose. i suppose if you have at least one dry reference pill (or a fairly whole pill that hasn't fallen apart yet) you could measure that and figure out an equivalent weight of ground up powder.

edit: oh i see it was powder to begin with, not pills, lol, let it dry out and you'll be fine, you haven't ruined it.
