Ak-47 this shit fucking reeks!!!!!!! Got it in 3 Tupperware tubs and its still seeping out.this a lovely 50/50 sativa indica high sativa gets you high then the indica buzz creeps in and ya can't be fucked to move.........

Which is a 'SuperAuto' i know autos are on the whole shite but not in a position to grow indoors ATM so just chucked a seed in a pot in me garden.
Had landlord issues and other issues so just went with an auto because there was a high chance of having to throw it away at short notice so couldnt wait for autumn.

Despite auto's usual shittyness this one, with a bit of LST and with the help of this heat its looking good. Not the lanky twats autos outdoors have produced in the past and loadsa trichomes, loads.

Poor yield...looks like maybe 5g when dry.....but better than the alternative

the alternative being fuck-all [ coz i refuse to buy it these days ]

oh..not sure how long its been flowering but most of me pistils are brown so not long to go now
 
Quick question for all you knowledgeable people on here- how much does the odd seed decrease potency? Got my hands on some really really nice sativa, but I found two small seeds on one bud out of a quarter oz. It seems incredibly potent, but I got it for 50 quid for 8 grams, so I wonder if there was a slip up in the grow? I and all others who have smoked it agree it is very strong, and so I was really surprised to find the seeds, but thought that it may have been grown outside, in which case this sort of thing can happen?

I don't really know my stuff with growing etc. Of course, proper seedless sensimilia is the goal, but does the odd seed indicate the entire plant's resin production would have been 'compromised'?
 
Sorry, no auto is a sativa :)

swampdragon's right, sativas won't finish outdoors in this country, a well looked after LARGE polytunnel maybe...but really in UK your onoly hope is indooors.

No auto is even close to a sativa.

Autos are all shit.

BUT, for a first grow it's good practise, and if you're used to buying shit deals of damp "cheese" it'll be better than that.

EDIT>>>>Odowacka, no the odd seed won't affect potency too much, was probably caused by some sort of stress during the plant's life, causing it to pop out a stealth banana or two (male flowers)....which would have created one or two seeds...do the seeds look mature, dark, maybe tiger striped?

Well...sativa dominated auto

Yeah i'm in the uk. Its done ok yeah, its in a good spot and i tend to move the pot to follow the sunshine around. The buds aren't huge but it looks potent.
The seed was only about £6...a bit of tomato food which i had laying around anyway....can't really complain.

TBH i didnt know that sativas wouldn't do as well as indica in the UK [ apart from the obvious issues of wet autumns ]

Oh and its not my 1st plant.....done 3 or 4 grows now... this was just a stop gap... ive got feeling my land lord isnt paying the morgage so dont feel secure enough here to do anything else...

kinda sucks but hey ho

Sativas will never do well in UK.

A pure sativa will need 16-20 weeks or even more of flowering to be done.

In UK earliest flowerers start to bud in early JULy, the very earliest, sativas not till late July august....frost and/or damp and mildew will always kill a sativa before maturity.

Your sativa leaning cross will be a sat/indica hybrid, bastardised with a ruderalis.

As I said, it's probably gonna be a lot better than most of the weed people pay 10er a "gram" for. Enjoy it, but don't kid yourself. :)
 
Mailmonkey- yeah that sounds about right, they looked a dark green going into brown colour. They both looked smaller than other bag seed I've had in Spain etc which was weird. I never knew stress could cause a plant to sprout some male flowers! Should really look into growing more, if only to learn more about plants in general
 
sativa seeds are much smaller than indica seeds, not so often striped, but should be a dark grey/brown/black colour if the plant was harvested at maturity....

A stressed plant will shoot out male flowers as a survival mechanism, the female plant "realises" it's stressed so produces male flowers in order to procreate with itself in order to survive.

Stress could be in the form of (with indoor plants) light leaks during the dark period, overheating, under or overfeeding, cold temps...any stress..

IF the hermie was caused by stress factors, the resulting seed will be a female, but if it was a genetic hermaphrodite, the seeds willl produce hermies....

Its not really snobbery - hes just saying my auto isnt a true sativa, which is perfectly true.

I was allowing myself to get a bit excited. Luckily he was there to grind my dreams underfoot ;)

Just chopped the fucker down as it happens.

Seem to have damaged a cricket looking bug thats been living on it for a week or so. Feel pretty shit about that as got used to seeing him there and have a hunch he's been keepin plantmunching bugs at bay

I am chuffed to have some sat genes hanging though...for once the plant actually looked like the picture on the seed website
 
As far as I'm concerned, if it saves you money and gets you stoned, then who gives a shit what it's called, when it's supposed to flower and what particular hybrid of sativa, indica or ruderalis it is.. It's all a bonus =D

Just saying there is a lot of bullshit snobbery attributed to growing weed as there is to cooking food - it's all a matter of personal taste at the end of the day..

Nothing wrong with a little bit of geekyness if its your hobby.....but some people take it too far.

My only snobbery is towards crap hash, but then again if someone passes me some i wont say no
 
Yeh, totally agree that 'growing the best weed' can become a bit of a personal crusade to those that can be arsed, but as long as it works..

Re: crap hash - again, there is a lot of shit talked about hash. It only has to be called 'soapbar' and everyone is down on it like a ton of bricks... The original soapbar was just a reference to the shape of the blocks which looked like soap - fuck all to do with potency. But it became synonymous with poor grade hash ( i.e. the 'formula' of the early 90's). If it works for you, who cares what others say?
 
Iv been smoking some nice pure kush and big bang daily for about a month and finally ran out yesterday. Gona be a strange couple days adjusting to not being in a haze all day everyday.

EDIT: looking forward to the crazy dreams though!
