Who cares...

Considering how inexperienced you are with drugs, I'm pretty sure you cannot fathom - at all - what being an addict really is like. When you're a junkie one wrong move and you can easily kill yourself, kill someone else, go to jail, do unspeakable things, lose a limb, etc. etc.
read this:http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/665970-Personal-Accounts-of-Addiction-Share-Your-Story and this: http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/445570-Case-Studies-(It-could-happen-to-YOU-). Then ask yourself "Do I want this to happen to me?"

Oh, btw, why did you choose to jump from weed and psych's to heroin? You might not even like opiates, they're not for everyone. Why not try a few vicodin or percocets. You are jumping into the deep end without knowing how to swim and lord knows there are no life jackets anywhere in sight.

From no opiate experience straight to heroin? Sorry but that just reads 'I'm a f*cking idiot'
The risks far outweigh the benefits here. If you're going to try opiates at all please start with something less potent e.g. hydrocodone, oxycodone or even codeine. Test the water.

Who cares...

doing H is not thaaaat bad. reaching a yunkie status, it is. The sooner you get the Yunkie, the sooner you will understund me. being a yunkie is NOT like in the heroin films, is not funny at all

When you are in WD, no one will be with you, you will be alone with your pains and your nightmares

If you have enough problems that you want to reach the yunkie status..belive me, all your problems will increase a lot

not being addicted is the best you can do, unless you want your dealer having all your money, including tobacco money and food money

remember, yunkie life is very lonely, when you are a yunkie you cant trust in anyone, you cant trust on your yunkie friends, you cant trust in police, you cant truts on the dealers, you cant trust on your gf if she is an addict too

and , your family, friends or gf who arent addicts, they wont trust you anymore

so this things gets to lonely life, and even boring life. Its a life in wich the only good moments are only when you can have some H to avoid the WD. It is not an interesting life, as some films show, at least on my opinion.

I could write a book, with so many "not common" things i have lived. readers may think "wow", but it was boring and lonely most of the time

PD: i love H, but if i could live again, i am not touching H until i am older than 70 yo. Oppies seems fine to me the last living years, to avoid pain etc..but starting as i did, so young, is a waste imo

And by the way, your username is really off putting, that and the fact you decided to try heroin.. there is nothing cool or nice about being a junkie, and the fact you're making it out to be something you're basically striving towards, is very foolish and something you are going to regret more than any other decision you'll ever make.

I was gonna say the exact same thing. There is nothing glamorous about addiction, if your goal is to become a junkie I guarantee you will regret it. Waking up sick every morning and having to scrounge and hustle while your sick, then waiting in a parking lot for sometimes hours for your dealer so you can finally get well, not even high; a lot of people including myself have been through it and will tell you there's nothing fun about it.

I'm not planning on getting addicted but...

Read the posts and the link to personal stories... NO ONE PLANNED ON BEING AN ADDICT. You think you know some special trick no one else thought of? Are you planning on doing it once?

If you don't plan on being a junkie then don't get any heroin. Simple as that.

Let me walk you through what's going to happen:
1. You learn how to get heroin
2. You do heroin and say to yourself "I don't know what they're talking about, this isn't that bad"
3. You decide to try it again because you don't understand what's so bad
4. You've figured out how to get it easily and you still have money so you buy again
5. You find that you didn't get nearly as high anymore so you assume it's a bad batch and you buy more but still don't get high
6. You've done it enough your friends find out and turn there backs on you because they "don't get it"
7. You start to spend your time with people who "understand" ie other users
8. Heroin becomes what you guys do after school / work
9. You get low on money and find out what withdrawals are like
10. A friend then teaches you how to IV
11. You start to run out of money right after you get it so you start robbing from people or turning tricks (yea, no shit, this is NOT uncommon) or whatever
12. You go through withdrawals so bad you decide to quit
13. You get on methadone or suboxone but it doesn't hit the spot so you only use it when you're dope sick
14. Fast forward a couple years or more, you IV any drug you can get your hands on, you veins collapse, you OD, so you go through hell, again, and you finally quit
15. Things are finally going your way, you're clean have a gf whatever
16. Then you have an opportunity to score again...
17. You become a hard core junkie again
18. You lose everything you worked for, again.
19. You od, see a friend die, get beat by a dealer within an inch of your life so you get clean... Again
20. Rinse, repeat FOR LIFE

Heed these warnings. No one says they planned on this life... The is a harm reduction site and your about to cause yourself harm / pain for life...

Let me just throw this out there to put what you are up against in perspective. You are planning to use to get high for recreational purposes, or in other words to have fun/enjoy yourself. There is no other reason you are doing this. And you apparently have a glorified view of the drug and what being addicted to it is like(this is judging by your username and obviously the fact you bought it). IDK what your really hoping for in terms of the long run and your use of heroin, but you don't appear to have the mindset that will deter you from developing dependence to the it. That is just my opinion and I think it is shared by many people who have read your posts, basically you are setting yourself up for something you can't understand until it is too late.

Now just think about this. There are many, many people out there who became "junkies" with absolutely no intent to even get high. These people were prescribed pain medication for whatever painful condition or injury they suffered from. Some people who were very straight arrows and had no intent to abuse or get high off the medication end up addicted to it. And all too often they end up going to the streets to get what they can no longer get from a doctor when they are cut off from the meds, and often turn to heroin when the price of pills gets to be too much.

So just realize that people who had no intent to get high at all end up with their lives turned upside down because they end up addicted to opiates.

not to mention all the stigmas attached to heroin, most people will turn their backs on you when they find out what your doing, WHEN, not if. Being a junkie is a very lonely life, as someone mentioned above you can't trust ANYONE. And no one will trust you either. You won't be able to go into a store without someone looking down at your tracked up arms with a look of disgust on their face...

Did anyone notice that he said that he doesn't want to become addicted to heroin, yet his username is 'SoonAJunkie'? Just thought I'd point out that contradiction, lol.

Who cares...

come on OP. If you want to play with the big boys drugs then you need to 'grow up' and 'wise up'.
Having a flagrant disregard of the risks and realities of opiate addiction isnt going to keep you safe from them, infact the opposite is true.
If you dont want warnings and opinions about your drug use or planned drug use, then dont post in a HR forum. You say "who cares..", well since this forum (and 99% of the users in it) is harm reduction focussed....we do!.
I sincerly hope you dont find out first hand what its like to become a statistic or indeed as El Barto said "a yunkie".

@El Barto, sorry man, it was too good to resist. :-D

Drug Glorification

I'm not trying to single out the OP here, as I don't want he/she to feel attacked, but this conversation says a lot toward the big picture that deserves mentioning.

Many younger or new users, intensely glorify IV drug use, specifically heroin. I too was one of those people. I started very young, all my musical idols did it, sang about being junkies, I had friends that did it and they just seemed so cool to me. This idea of drug glorification is directly responsible for a lot of future addictions. At this stage, where the idea of being a junkie is just so chic and profound, one can't possibly comprehend the world of negatives that come from the reality of using. They shrug people off who tell them how much it ruined their life as "different" and "weak willed". They can't possibly ever end up that way because they did so much research, thought about it so hard, etc. They still have this glamorous idea that can't be shattered. Tunnel vision.

Naive users like this make the mistake in thinking that one goes from trying heroin to full out addict directly.. when in reality, it is a progression, one that sometimes takes years to happen.

There is a famous quote from a latin proverb, "A Wise Man Learns by the Mistakes of Others, a Fool by His Own". This is a great thing to use in any aspect of your life but especially in regards to this. Why do you think that millions of the people all over the world have the same story as far as how they became so ruined and addicted? It's because the drugs are that powerful. Everybody is arrogant enough in the beginning to think that won't be them. You're wrong.

Why make the same mistakes countless others have already made? Accept the fact that your glorifying something you don't understand and that you will not avoid what millions of us could not. It doesn't make you weak to admit this. It makes you strong.

so you just bought some heroin? Throw it away if you have never tried it unless you have stellar will power like us BLer's

so true, Even some morons who are regular oxy users or currently/were addicted to oxy look down on heroin use. I don't IV either, but still I know people who think the transition from oxy to heroin is like going 60 to 100. Maybe if you add in the needle, then you are opening a whole new array of issues. But honestly its the not much different, its more affordable and slightly different effects. But believe me, you get more flack when you say you do heroin as opposed to oxy or any pharmaceuticals.

How the hell would one even be able to eyeball a 5mg dose? That sounds incredibly risky especially since most aspiring junkies don't have a MG scale on hand...

^Sure its a possibility, but if it is he is being very subtle about it. This just sounds like a young and an inexperienced individual who has no idea what they are talking about. Someone mentioned it already, he was asking on another thread he started in cannabis discussion if 3.5 g is good? (he really wanted to know how long it will last). It just sounds like he doesn't have a clue, the trolls are usually more obvious to point out. Trolls are usually trying to push people's buttons. If it wasn't for his ridiculous username I wouldn't regard him being a troll in w=question, but it is so lame it has to make me wonder.
