Cows are fucking dangerous, I won't walk through a field with them, only round the edge if theres a fence or wall I can jump. I asked a farmer why this is when i was a kid they were docile gentle beasts and he said its all the cross breeds and foreign breeds these days that are more flighty and more agressive, he said never walk through a herd especially if you have a dog or they have calves. I've been chased before and it's no joke, 5 people have been killed in Wiltshire over recent years.

Being chased out of a field by a herd of hungry cows (whilst in fatty mode and not being able to run fast) really makes you a little weary of em.

Cows aren't as docile as they appear to be. I used to be fearless with em, but now I take the long way round and walk around the edge of the field. Before getting chased by them I used to walk right through a whole herd and pet the fuckers.

Spoke to a guy in the village where I used to pick my shrooms once. He was walking his lab, and told me of the time he walked across the cowfield and was knocked down repeatedly ... unconscious ... kept waking up and they just knocked him down again and again .. and he was totally country smart, no noob.

Cows be dangerous, yo.

Seems to be saying, "two in the pink, one in the stink"

I feel the pain of Knock.

Only recently I went for a long walk into some countryside. 2 hours in and this fucker greets me:

Now what do you do!? Is it friendly and used to tourists? or does it do what bulls are infamous for doing: ripping humans to pieces. How was I supposed to know at the time!?

^ Don't the horns make it a bull?

(Wikipedia says not necessarily) But I wasn't to know which sex it was at the time and wasn't going to chance it with them huge horns. It was a very narrow path also, so no getting around the fucker easily

And tend to be kept in bull pens, not allowed to wander the countryside

The butterflies have been out in full force for most of the week. I can do without the cabbage whites, that have left their spawn to ruin all my plants, but these guys are ace:

marmz, lovely pics, well done for making the effort to photo them and share the pics with us.

That cow is frankly insulted to have been mistaken for a bull.

true story: I once went hunting for magic mushrooms, had to cross a field with cows in. They looked mean so I decided not to enter the field... My friend laughed at my cowardice as they were "only cows" and went on ahead. Half way through the field and the angry cows group up and my friend starts to look nervous.... then one cow charged at him, moments later the entire heard follow suit and charge at him and he started running for his life.

It was hilarious at the time... but I've learnt not to trust any of that species.
