What to do with a blotter?

Apologies if this is the world's dumbest question.

How does one actually use a blotter?

Swallow it whole? Leave it on my tongue? Stick it between my cheek and my gum? Suck it?

Also, what the best way to store an unused one? Sealed in a bag, in a box, in a cool, dark place?

Store it in a cool, dark place away from sunlight. UV light destroys LSD (assuming you're talking about LSD blotter here) so keeping it away from sunlight is important. Just leave it on your tongue and swallow after 15-20 minutes. Or you could swallow it outright.
 
Yeah best to do the latter (swallowing it), so that you can be sure you didn't get an NBOMe
 
Sublingual administration is the best for a blotter keep it under your tongue for a few minutes this is almost an instant gateway to the bloodstream, assuming we are talking about LSD? If it is Nbome the best thing to do with the blotter is put it in your toilet and flush.

I keep mine in a plastic bag shoved in the sides of cardboard to keep it away from the elements and authorities :0

I have heard aluminum degrades LSD so don't store it in tinfoil

Well then he wouldn't even get high at all and would be bummed out the rest of the evening. Even if its NBOMe he can still have a damn good time as long as hes not taking 10 of them, which based on the questions it doesn't sound like he is. There are ways to know if you have NBOMe or LSD based on the taste of the blotter if you really want to get an idea of what you got.. but Id just keep it under my tongue and ride out and enjoy whatever I got.. He also just says he got a blotter, not that he knows what it is.

I admittedly don't have a vast experience with either compound spanning years on end but my recent 25i-nbome experience was one of my all time favourite experiences.. it was intense as hell, uplifting, euphoric, absolutely no anxiety or paranoia, and the visuals were absolutely stunning.. and the colours that were painted over the world on the come down were absolutely breathtaking and beautiful, I saw ones with my eyes closed that Ive never seen before. I loved the experience very, very much.. to say to just throw away the blotter if its not LSD is completely absurd to me.. at least figure out what you're taking and then take the proper precautions with it (ie, not taking 10 hits if you know its NBOMe).

Instant gateway to the bloodstream? It's not intravenous injection! For my part, I really don't notice that much difference in come up time between buccal and oral administration.

An overwhelming majority of tested LSD samples were negative for the chemical. In the best-case scenario, the sample was just paper. In most instances, the LSD we tested contained compounds such as DO(x) and 25(x)-NBOME. These substances are able to be placed on blotters that are slightly larger than those used for LSD. Please be aware that these substances are not LSD and differ from LSD in many ways. I would place under the tongue just incase it is NBOMe that it doesn't go to waste.
Shit you paid good money for it might as well get high, if I had the choice is obviously pick LSD

Hence my statement, if you can determine its nbome (which you apparently can based on the taste) then don't go being stupid and taking a ten strip.

NBOMes can be dangerous if used incorrectly and unknowingly, but if you know, you can take precautions. Ive only read one instance where a normal nbome dose led to a hospitalization and there is a lot of information left out. Any of the others were the results of an over dose (eg, taking a 10 strip thinking its lsd, or just plain stupidity). I know of one death which is well publicized of a kid at a festival who took "one drop" up his nose and died. God only knows what else he was on at the time. The other deaths are the result of doing stupid shit while high, like running into telephone poles or falling off balconies - shit that could happen on LSD. The dangers of NBOMe use are well known among the community and as long as you're smart about it you'll have a good time.

No, theyre not as safe as LSD in regards to its toxicity, no argument there. But they are enjoyable substances and are not entirely worthless to the point that you should throw away your money if you find out you've got NBOMe instead of acid. People who have bad experiences are more inclined to write reviews and the news itself would never publish anything positive, so you're only going to run into the negative.. Heck, Im sure if we go back 50 years there were tons of news articles about LSD hospitalizations and death, actually I'm certain of that fact, and you yourself should know this.

LSD is great stuff but its not the end all be all to the point where you should ignore every other potential psychedelic.
 
OP: Ignoring all the "LSD is the only valid psychedelic" crap that seems to spring out of even the most innocent posts around here, it depends what's on the blotter. I have seen the following: DOx, LSD, 25x-NBOMe & alprazolam. All of them can be swallowed straight away except NBOMe which needs to be placed between the upper gum and cheek for best absorption.
 
There is IMO a big difference between on the one hand researching the effects of NBOMe compounds and knowing the differences between thém and LSD (then taking an NBOMe as fully aware as can be at this point), and on the other hand randomly taking a blotter and hoping for the best or saying it doesn't matter much as long as you don't take 10.

The drugs have different dose-response curves and LSD is physically safe whereas some toxic effects of NBOMe compounds remain unexplained.

Similarly DOX compounds can cause complications that LSD does not.

It is not discriminating (although people here including me have the right to reject NBOMe compounds from their own body), not sure if by someone in this thread it was presented as fact that NBOMe compounds are no good... again: the best is if everyone just does some homework on it and decides for themselves. But before that it's not "all good".

If you have a mystery blotter, which bad from a harm reduction point! (@infantannihilator), the best is to do a reagent test (see the Research Chemical on blotter thread for info). If you skip that, it may be wise to immediately swallow the blotter to differentiate between NBOMe compounds and the rest. After trying that once you have an answer, though it can still be a DOX if you got effects. Also titration (starting with half or less) the first time and slowly building up the dose over several experiences is wise.

For storage it is important to know that the things to protect your blotter from (assuming it is LSD) are: heat, water, oxygen and light. Realise that water is dissolved in the air as vapor.
So many people fold their blotter in some aluminum / tin foil. Put it in a baggie, pressing out all air before you zip it shut. Then I add more protection by putting that baggie in a mini mason jar that contains a desiccant, which I seal with an extra safety to prevent it from popping open when I rummage around my freezer. Then I refrigerate or freeze it.

I put NBOMe's on my gums, and I usually swish LSD blotters around for a little bit in my mouth before I swallow them. I store my blotters in a tightly compressed tinfoil square in a dark place with not much temperature fluctuation or moisture.
 
Hey, sorry I wasn't clear, these are (apparently) blotters of AL-LAD.

So, just let them dissolve in my mouth for several minutes?
 
Yeah if you don't mind an NBOMe and just want to have fun then that's fine. If it tastes bitter then I'd keep it in there for longer (~20-30 minutes, longer is better) and try not to swallow, otherwise you might not get effects. Not that I think your prospects of getting real LSD are bleak or anything, just some tips to keep in mind for if you don't ;)

Totally misread your comment, thought you said "there are blotters of AL-LAD"

They sell test kits. They are not a harm reduction organization. They are a private company out to make money, and they make more by scaring people.
 
This hardly has to be said but the risk of encountering mislabelled drugs is entirely dependent on your social graph.
