The reason eyewitnesses seem so calm on the news after witnessing horror: Drugs

Anyone else notice this?

Right now there's a plane crash that's happening here in the States, and an eyewitness who saw an incident where at least 2 just died and 17 injured; she saw the bloody survivors and was ambushed by media all at once.

Yet her voice right now on a phone connection in Frisco sounds like she's on a perfect dose of xanax...

Adrenaline... norepinephrine.. amphetamines... calm...but fast thinking..clear headed... etc... and on and on. (lazy math right now)

I also noticed that same thing with first graders talking about what happened after the Sandy Hook massacre.

My point? Society.. give drugs; both the automatically induced in our brain or ingested, a little more credit.
 
Allot of times when peopleexperience tragic events such as these they are in so much shock it may not hit them right away because it doesn't seem real. You can't just automatically assume it's because they are on pills. I'm not saying it's always the case just trying to point out that different people react in different ways.

What is shock if not adrenaline pumping through your veins keeping you collected?

And the women on the wasn't (can't know) still in shock because of her slight reflectiveness.
 
glad you could diagnose someone just from hearing their voice on the phone

give drugs credit for what? having the power to numb out feelings? what a great solution instead of dealing with things

The human ability to stay calm under pressure (whether internal drug induced or external) has saved more lives than I think we'll ever recognize.

I'd say about 90% percent of live eyewitness accounts are rather calm from the adrenaline induced by the incident.

I'd say my theory is more likely than that 90% being sociopaths, which would suggest the majority of us are sociopaths. And I'm lookin at bukweat..

People just don't give a fuck these days. We are desensitized, at least i am. I'm never shocked or care about what happened here or there. Unless it is happening in an area i know about, or to someone i know.

A plane crash and the aftermath and national press on your ass and you don't think you'd be a bit shaken up, if not for adrenaline? Sure we're desensitized, but up close in real life havoc still scares the shit out of the average person.
 
i just hate stupid threads like this where the point is "drugs are good" and you attempt to prove it by some none existant connection between naturally produced chemicals and illegal drugs
