As an Iraq war veteran, Adam Arroyo saw more than his share of bullets flying.
However, Arroyo would have never imagined that he would one day come home, to find his own apartment riddled with bullet holes, and his pet dog Cindy executed, by Buffalo, NY Police officers, after they executed a search warrant.
On the wrong apartment.
That’s exactly what Arroyo found Monday evening when he returned to his Buffalo apartment.
Buffalo Police officers busted his door, entered his apartment, and shot Cindy.
“She’s over here, chained up, and look at all these bullet holes man, look at the blood right there,” Arroyo told Buffalo’s WKBW News.
Buffalo Police left a search warrant in Arroyo’s apartment, which lists the apartment to be searched, as the upper apartment.
Arroyo lives in the upper-rear apartment, which has a completely separate entrance, and the mailbox is clearly marked with his name.
The suspect named in the search warrant is described as a male black, wanted on suspicion of selling crack cocaine..
Arroyo is Latino.
“For police to wrongfully come into my house and murder my dog, it wasn’t that they felt threatened, no, they murdered my dog,” said Arroyo as his eyes welled up with tears, as he added, “That was my dog, man, that was my dog, they didn’t ave to do that, you know. They didn’t have to do that.
Buffalo, NY Police spokesperson Michael DeGeorge says the department’s Internal Affairs division has launched an investigation into the case, but also added that police officers believed they had the right address.
Not only does Adam Arroyo, a veteran who served this country, return home to find his best friend shot dead, laying in a pool of blood, but he also will have to pay to have Cindy cremated.
Arroyo also has to pay to repair his own apartment door.
Another disgusting case of trigger-happy cops, executing an innocent family pet, this time after raiding the wrong apartment.

shoot cops.

the judicial system has failed to ensure that the police operate with integrity and respect.

instead of cops, lawyers and judges punishing the evil doers with badges, they protect them.

so what can the population do, other than let the lead fly at the evil bastards in blue!

Everytime I hear about police shooting someone's pets I get this terrible feeling. Even when I was reading about McAfee's dogs getting shot... shit like this isn't right. Just because you have a gun does not mean you have to kill every animal near you, assholes!

THe last few years there mentality is rpetty much oh he pissed me off let shoot his dog. Sick bastards. I really hope that those responsible for all the dog shootings get their karma handed to them by a very powerful dog jaw. This is disgusting. Im not even that big a fan of dogs, but i like animals none the less and useless cruelty like this especially coming from narssistic ,donut eating , cocksucking, assholish bastards who think they get away with everything because they have a badge. Not protect and serve, Shoot up your pets and give you problems. gah.

EDIT: i completly frogot, when will they stop kicking i nthe fucking wrong doors? In this case it was more like oh wrong apartment...lets shoot the dog cuz qwe have nuthin better to do.

Hey they were in fear for their lives right? I mean wouldnt you be if you u had an ar15 and your 5 friends watching your back did too and u saw a cahined up dog? Stupid fucking cops.

Edit- tho the cops in this case are clearly fresh out of the academy, have never been on a narco warrent raid before and all had faulty weapons who knows maybe all three, but who keeps a dog chained up in their home? Cant say i agree with that one. Crating maybe if it was hyper and freaked when you left, but to keep a dog in a chain for more than a few hours is cruel, imo. Did it say breed anywhere? Bc if it was an active large breed like a rotty or a "terrifying" pit bull (ive known ppl with pitt bull terries as docile as a carrot, and as nuts like it smoked crack and was half wolf) then the cops will try and say it was agressive towards them which is basically yelling out "its comin right for us!!" When your hunting as an excuse to use deadly force. Im sure a dogbite wouldnt hurt as much as no job or pension and a civil suit.

What is up with these fucking cops being completely unable to get the right place? I mean I get its bound to happen every so often, but this must be the hundredth, "wrong apartment, shot dog" story I've read. Even if it is the right apartment there's gotta be some other way they can handle it besides shooting the dog. Oh and there's still apartments you can have pets in? Surprising

Stand your ground should be against cops as well. You have more to worry about from police than criminals.

I live in Buffalo, this story makes me sick. Not only should those officers be on desk duty for years, but if they don't pay for dude's damaged door and dog cremation fee + ....then something is very wrong....There truly is no excuse for this, the douchebag mayor Byron Brown and Police Commish need to personally apologize to this man in public, and steps made to make sure this never happens again. Especially when neighbors were mentioning to the cops it was the wrong house....Public information is available...and I don't care if you have to call the landlord who might tip off the tenant...this shit can't happen

And for the quote above.....I CAN'T WAIT until the cops go executing a wrong warrant in a rough neigborhood of a solid citizen who has immense firepower....can't wait for the defense argument that the man thought it was another violent home invasion so he fired away and killed a bunch of intruders..cops....who are busting in on a legit man's lair, of course he's gonna think they are saying "POLICE!" just to fool him....

If I was living squeaky clean in a rough area and folks came busting in yelling "POLICE!" and looking the part, I wouldn't believe them for one second and would fight for my life as my only chance of survival against potential violent home invasion, especially if I have a wife and children...I mean police have been impersonated before...

I only hope that when this situation eventually happens, the element of surprise is on the cops and the citizen gets them all without getting killed himself, then as the situation manifests he realizes they are cops (WHEN swat arrives), surrenders peacefully...and wins his day in court....I'll party in the streets!!!!!

That's true. As many sketchy cops there are there's bad guys with raid jackets. I saw on the news the other day some dudes busted in a house and jacked a few hundred lbs of weed and the guy cut them off with his car and they rammed him and jumped out and got away but in their car they left behind some raid jackets from a local PD...
