A 16-year-old boy has been arrested today for grabbing a stranger's baby and throwing it to the pavement while high on a legal drug called Salvia.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of assault in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, Northumberland this afternoon.

Witnesses say he pulled the baby out of the pram and hurled it to ground after the mother started talking to him because he appeared to be in distress.

Northumbria Police issued an urgent warning after it emerged that not only was the boy under the influence of Salvia but another local teenager had been hospitalised today having smoked a Salvia cigarette.

The boy, a pupil at Ashington High School, is now in a stable condition having collapsed.

Superintendent Mick Paterson said: 'Our advice is, just because it says ‘legal’ on the packet does not mean it is safe. He advised: 'If you are in possession of this substance do not use it"

I have always been scared of dissociative type drugs(e.g SALVIA DIVINorum,LSD<mesca,shrooma)...But some just crave that "alien planet" type chaos. Overall, might agree with keeping many of them illegal, as they can mentally destroy the mentally distraught. It ain't PCP though... A long bender on volatile glues can cause the naïve drugger to attack his/her brethren

How you can function in public on salvia is any ones guess. I would thought he would have returned to earth well before he left his front door. In fact finding the front door is an achievement in the first place.

@bhm agreed, my eyebrows only go so far back but I think I've seen x100 for sale. It's marketed like extreme chilli sauce for the most part.

@gos 'lengthy sessions inhaling the fumes of solvent-rich glues can cause inexperienced users to become violent'.

I'd extend that to experienced users too, though.

saw some posh guy on youtube freaking out running down the street after chuffing x35/x40, so i can believe its possible. i mean, the camera was on the guy continually and you could tell what he was smoking was salvia from his eyes/face and the instant paroxysm of primal fear that shot across them just prior to his getting up and running off

also a girl on here told me of running away after salvia extract. its possible, in fact sadly the story for me seems fairly cause & effect, knowing salvia

x100 is a one way ticket to a breakdown. how that can be legal and cannabis not is a disgrace [/highhorse]

Ok, I'm even more confused now. Erm I'm 'interfering' because this is a public forum and you appeared not to understand what that person up there said, so I thought I'd help.

OK there WAS a knock post there for a second. Or perhaps this is a cursed thread like the enchanted wood in the middle of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

i can believe it happened too

fucking stupid kids will no doubt kickstart a new daily fail campaign and we'll see another ban. Probably a rapid 7 days notice jobby like the apb one.

I always like to have some salvia stashed away. Its got such a bad rep but i blame the stupid kids, if DMT or 5-MEO-DMT were easily available to the youtube generation i wonder if those substances would have a bad rep too ?

The only 'problem' with salvia is you need a sensible sitter, not one that'll film you or mess with your head.
