How importent is spelling?

context is everything, obviously if I'm writing some important document or an email that matters, I'll be aware of my spelling and tone etc, but on a forum I don't give a damn. Now I know who I can wind up the most with deliberate errors, hhahaahha.

I can't stand hearing either of those languages being spoken (or shouted, if you're my neighbours). They really get me wound up. :X

Each to their own. ;)

Jealously is not a nice trait .
See i'm open to hundreds of thousands of gorgeous latin women that you don't stand a chance with.

Is Portuguese one of the most spoken languages in the world still ?

Spanish takes you all over see i lived in acity where it paid to be bilingual as a kid . Los Angeles to be exact .

One Thousand Words deserved it for bemoaning abuse of the language in some fucked up Antipodean pidgin gutter tongue. %)

Brimz, I'm super jealous that you can speak more than one language. That's something I have longed to be able to do since I was tiny. It is a sexy skill in a person :)

Can you tell the stupid cow next door to me to fuck off in Spanish then? :D

Thanx luv . ;)

I find it hard when in England but as soon as i am in Porto / Valencia where ever it just clicks . It's strange . many times i have been mistaken for a local , see i have a bit of a latin look to me as well

I'm a fluent Welsh speaker. It's an extremely useful language to have, as its spoken throughout the entire planet. Well, Patagonia, and Wales.

It's actually a great language, and it's a shame we no longer speak it (or a variation thereof) this side of Offa's Dyke.

One of my good friend is half Czech and half Finnish but brought up in the UK. She's fluent in all three languages and has three passports. She's so interesting and definitely unique in terms of her upbringing, home life and culture. I'm just so plain; born and bred in the UK and can only speak English :(

Edit: she's beautiful too. Nordic looking facially, with a touch of eastern European looks to her figure <3

I can't take an article seriously if there is an error in grammar or spelling; I will, instead of reading and learning, trawl the rest of the piece looking for the ubiquitous errors.
On the subject of alternate languages; obviously one can speak English, I can speak French, I'm conversational in Spanish and can sign in American Sign Language, English Sign Language and "Signalong" (often used for/by people with learning difficulties).

I think that because English is so widely spoken throughout the world, we are at a disadvantage because we almost don't need to make the effort to learn another language.

Like in Le Mans last week, I would order everything in French and the waiter/waitress would respond in English
