Not a stranger to XTC etc but have never gone over the top before either, until last weekend. Trip away and 2 heavy nights in a row on pills, combination of to much booze and stupidity.

Timeline is, about 36 hours after the last pill (12 ago from now) had the I started to get this weird sensation when I drank cold water, like a tripping out feeling, zoning out even. Would last about 1-2 seconds. I started to get worried and next thing I had what I think was a mild panic attack.

Its now 9am and not slept at all last night as I feel like I am being shocked and hear a buzz that makes me jolt. If I sit and read/watch tv its ok but as soon as I start to relax, bang it hits me. Its draining me so much.

My mood is fine, I dont feel depressed, Im just tired and I cannot sleep. I have been drinking water, orange juice and eating well (as normal). Im scared of relaxing as I will get the big shock again.

I dont take any regular drugs apart from the occasional nytol and always take multivits.

How much sleep did you get those entire two nights and how much MDxx did you consume?

How much sleep have you gotten in say the last 96 hours? This sounds a bit different but not unheard of, your body just adjusting back to sobriety, slightly sideways with the up and the down?

Can you describe this 'tripping out' feeling? Is the water too cold or something? I think I've been in your situation before but I was on a ridiculous level during my roll and the water was incredibly cold.

We'll pull through this together don't you worry!

Hmm, about 5 hours the first morning and about 9 the second. Prob about 3 pills first night and 2.5 on second.

I felt groggy night before last (tuesday night) as was traveling home. Got about 7 hours sleep from 6am till 1 yesterday and felt okish after that. It was about 8pm last night that the tripping out feeling started.

It wasnt that cold, just out the tap, the more I thought about it the worse it was then I took a sip. Im ok now with it but it still sometimes hits me. Its more the relaxing part that gets me, sitting here typing this I feel fine, just tired.

If I close my eyes for a second and relax with deep breaths I get the tripping out/shock thing, I jerk, try to relax and then it can happen about 5-10 seconds after again.

It will pass. Get melatonin to sleep like a baby. Get 5-htp and vitamin C to feel better and no hangover.

Gentle exercise to waste some energy won't destroy you, I always unwind with Johnny walker blue label on a Sunday night; perfection.

get some good healthy food in you and hydration, relax, take things easy, take a couple Xanax and go to bed. you will feel much better after some rest.

Spent the whole day trying to relax and when they come one I just get busy to stop the electric shocks. Had the supplements suggested, dark chocolate.

Its now 10pm and still not any sleep for too long, the shocks are getting worse. Im going to ask my girl to take me to hospital I think, I cannot handle staying up all night tired and jolting. I have a load of Nytol (diphenhydramine hydrochloride, a sedative antihistamine.) is it worth taking some of them to knock me out, im scared i wont be able to keep awake and the tablet will make me have the shocks constant.

Im trying to srelax and sleep now but i cannot stop awaking. Every 10-20 seconds i get hit by one.

take some benzos if you have any at hand & if the zaps continue to progress after that, than i would seek help.
dont recommend the diphen BTW

Really getting worried now

Just back from A&E and they gave me diazepam (had the number 5 on it), took it about 1.5 hours ago, am so so so tired. Tried resting in bed and relaxing but as soon as I close my eyes and start to drift off, they stat hitting me, had 3 in a row now.

I called the doctor at the A&E and she didn't know what to suggest but to call my GP in the morning (have to wait 2:20 min). What do you think he might do?

Any other suggestions? My girlfriend is getting worried and its keeping her up. I have just given into trying to sleep and now will just watch tv, feeling really scared and lonely. Its been nearly 48 hours without sleep now, and im starting to get confused over stuff.

i really dont know what to tell you mate. that combo has always been disastrous.. increases painful serotonin downreg more than just straight pills. it never caused me any brain zaps but a bit of benzos always helped to ease the comedown. hopefully your doc is understanding & helpful about the situation, just keep trying to get some rest

Well eventually I slept yesterday 09:30 till 20:00 and then just before bed had vallium at 22:00 till 09:00 (just now). Had some bran flakes and multivits etc.

Brain zaps while relaxing have gone but feel really heavy and little bit confused. So plan today is to watch tv and chill? Good idea?

Everyone who experiences their first brain zap thinks they have done permanent damage and that they wont clear. I remember my first time.....4 days later was still getting the zaps! I gave myself another day and I was going to see my doctor. Thank god I didn't as the next day they were greatly reduced in strength and frequency and they day 7 they had gone completely.

I had my first ever brain zap on Monday and today I feel superb. I've done a lot of readong about the brain zaps and I've never read about it being permanent. You just have to soldier through it and most importantly learn the lesson.
