Want another reason to test your drugs?

What blow to the psychedelic world and EDM world, two communities I hold so dear. Honestly I blame the drug users...its also the dealers fault. But if you take an unknown powder from a stranger....and automatically do 100 mg of it right off the bat....you are stupid, you have no business using drugs, and you deserve to OD. sorry if that sounds harsh but idiots shouldn't be using drugs....just like mentally unstable people should be using guns. Using drugs takes prudence and intelligence, not being drunk and wreckless at a rave and having no idea what you are getting yourself into.

The Dr. they interviewed was funny. a mix of coke meth and X in the powder....good one....I highly doubt that's what made people OD...none of those drugs are potent enough to cause 100 ppl to OD of the same batch....it was obviously one of the higly potent phenethylamines...but most MD's are too busy collecting giant checks and going on ski trips for shelling out drugs they don't even understand the pharmacology behind to know anything about drugs.
 
I really hope they catch the piece of shit that was handing this stuff out and lying to people and charge him with manslaughter, I also hope they actually get to the bottom of it and figure out what drug it was in the "molly" that did it....Most news sources are not blaming it directly on mdma luckily (wow the media has come a long way) they are saying "it is a drug similar to ecstacy but more powerful" or "a mix of ecstacy and otherdrugs" at least they realize they will get crucified for painting X to be a killer when it is pretty safe.

please keep us updated if they find out what research chem it was that was in the Mix


and testing may not have helped anything....if there was a little MDMA/apb in it, it would turn out positive and everyone would think it was ok even though it was spiked with some highly potent phenethylamine

It is sad, a lot of these kids are like lost sheep. Figure their friends are taking it so it must be ok right.
 
In WA, it is murder if you sell someone drugs and they then die from the use of those drugs. I normally don't agree with that statute but I think it is extremely appropriate in this situation.

So much fucking drug ignorance... this could have been avoided with simple common sense. It makes my blood boil to hear dumbasses that have no idea belt out fuck knows what of untested shit and then the media has the fuckign nerve to blame MDMA for the deaths. The people kill themsleves from drug ignorance, the drug doesnt.
 
This problem is only going to get worse. EDM is exponentially getting more popular, with that comes "molly".

Six years ago, my friends were like "techno is for fags" now they are floored and fist bumping every weekend.
 
I wonder WTF was in those pills.. maybe someone who was there will send a sample to ecstasydata
 
Only speculation but the show was at the Gorge in WA. Which is basically the desert.

My friends who were there said it was 100 degrees every day and the staff did not allow re-entry, so people could not return to their tents to get more water or take it easy in the shade. There were people who ran out of money, were probably drunk, with no way to dehydrate after spending 12 hours in the hot sun. Even without MDMA or any RC cocktail that could be a lethal combo.

A real noob move by the organizers.
 
^^ That may well have played a big role in all this then. Still, it's really a shame that people do not know enough about MDMA/ drugs in general. I would personally refrain from taking anything if temperatures are that high.

I was there and I didn't does my mdma until sundown when the temperature dropped, I was smart and made sure to keep super hydrated during the day (drank about 2 liters of Gatorade before entering and at least 4 liters of water before sundown.)

But yeah I saw a few people tweeking WAY to hard. There was this one guy talking 13 miles a minute pretty much doing a full sprint when he walked around... he was eventually taken by security... Thank god haha.
