Is it wrong to ask for money back if your dealer loses the product?

If you pay someone for something and they can't get it to you, you ask for your money back. Period.

If I were a dealer and I lost whatever drug(s) I got for the customer, I'd give him back his money. That would be my own damn fault and I'd accept responsibility for it.

If you're feeling sorry for the guy or something, what you could do is just get half of your money back.
 
from what i gather OP gave dealer money for a half g of cannabis. Then allowed dealer to roll joint in car while severely impaired, now i think in that situation it's most certainly OP's fault, couldn't u have rolled it before leaving or when u got home ffs?

i'd throw the money back in your face too, that's some petty shit and it was an accident, it's not like he smoked it and got high. If it were someone else who dropped it, would u expect them to pay you back? or just say fuck it, accidents happen, it's cool?
 
I understand money is tight for you, but money is probably tighter for me. That much worth of weed isn't very much, 5-10$ isn't worth the cause of the friendship. I recently lost 800$ due to being ripped off, intentionally. Especially because I'm as poor as you can get, You can be sure that that was a one-time thing

yep. out of all the drugs, these turn people into the biggest jerks, even though they have no clue whats going on. i can't tell you how many serious arguments(and random acts of violence)that i've seen erupt from minor disagreements when one or both parties were all fucked up. a half gram that a friend dropped? seems pretty minor to me, and asking for the money back could have been perceived as real petty even if you guys were sober. what i would have done is take it as a small loss, and casually bring it up next time you guys were together, and hope that he would make it up, which most real friends would do in a heartbeat.

shit happens, and sometimes even when you are on the losing end its best to bite your tongue and take a small hit! recently i had a few buddies over to enjoy some booze and watch some UFC. we were all having a good time, and i decided to open a nice bottle of scotch, a glenfiddich 12 y/o. i poured each of us a small glass, and when my buddy went to pour another, smash! =D i was annoyed, but shit happens! the bottle was $45, but honestly the thought of asking him to pay me for it never even crossed my mind! with good friends, it usually all evens out in the end!
 
I wouldn't give a shit about that little money. Half a gram is a coffee from starbucks its really not worth fighting over such a little amount i think. Accidents happen man. One time I spilled a gram of my buddys coke. He got mad was all "wtf bro you just spilled my coke" but its like dude im sorry man it was an accident I'll hit you back when I can. I personally wouldn't ask for money back, but in that situation I'd probably say something like "Man could I come inside and smoke one with you before I leave I just really need a hoot"

Not a big deal, but just remember what goes around comes around.
 
id just tell him to reroll a J with his weed and you could perhaps roll the next one when you got weed again (just to pay it forward). he should at least put half in but it was a mistake so if your a good friend just chalk it up to a drugged out mistake and leave it at that. you guys should half the next J though.

think of it this way. would you wanna end your friendship ovcer a $5 joint? especially one that got lost by mistake when someone was high. if it was me id just throw in another nug and reroll one and laugh it off but i almost always have something to smoke.
