I fucking love them, omnly been to see them once though, on the Yoshimi tour. Night would have beeen ace but my bro-in-law, Yeaaaar Me Hearty, collapsed when we started coming up on some home dosed caps of mdma....

Missed the majority of the gig. :( Could hear it muffled through the wall of the first-aid bit.

Should have left him alone.

Funniest thing was at the time he was trying to get away with doing a pill on the sly as his missis at the time didn't approve of drugs, even when he came round he was like "Just don't tell J****" =D

I'd already told her the moment he collapsed. :) He was gonna try and blame it on the fact he hadn't had lunch or something.

nah i can deal with temptation, the only thing likely to make me fuck up with drugs is too much money and time, neither of which are likely right now. i put too much time and effort into something that wasn't worth it, i.e. this place, and didn't expect to be thrown out quite so unceremoniously. its old ground and i don't care anymore (or i do, but have got round it by knowing that if i do get into web development, i may be able to have the last laugh), i learned the valuable lesson that pricks on the internet are fucking pricks, and don't want to end up in a situation where i need to relearn that.

MM- Python's mint! or, i wouldn't know, for the very specific things i've done, its nice. and i don't spend my entire life looking for a loose bracket, unlike some poor people i know working with c++.

Trust me you dont want to get into banking, totally horrid profession.
Most people are being laid off. People get in for a year or 2 and then leave, esp with the big players like Morgan Stanley, if your not on equity or emerging markets and if your not an associate you WILL be laid off within the next 24 months trust me.
Leveraged credit is even worse, our entire desk is being laid off soon
Lots of my friends are now leaving IB and trying to get into consulting to just set up thier own shit

Myself I am looking to set up an Oil trading business based in South Sudan but the red tape is immense.

The one thing you will learn in IB is everyone is a prick but there are ONE or TWO people you can really trust, just hang with them

Been sat around all day debating whether to buy The Last of Us on PSN, finally decided 'why not' about half an hour ago. As of now, the download is at 2.77%, with nearly eleven hours remaining, and it doesn't download directly from PSN so I can't even run it in the background.

Should have fucking waited and got it at the shops tomorrow but nooooo had to have it now. Looks like it's gonna be a bloody good game though.
 
TLM I really recommend watching this Smashing Pumpkins set when it goes up on catch up they are tearing the place up. Nearly over now though so I would wait and watch the whole thing start to finish when it goes up on iPlayer. 'Tonight' followed by 'Bullet With Butterfly Wings' sounding extra heavy. Great stuff.

yeah i think its a bad time for banking! i am looking ideally into data science. i have found an opportunity that would use big data to actually improve peoples lives instead of sell them shit more accurately, so have high hopes for that. but anything IT related would do really.

good luck with the business! sounds pretty risky, but guessing with your background thats half the attraction.
