Opioids Why doesn't my poppy pod tea high last long? Should I eat the grounds too?

I made tea today. First time in a week or so, got 250g powdered pods,
Used 35g brewed for a couple of hours, not too hot in 750ml water and added 5g calcium carbonate, and a dash of lemon juice.
I also ate a whole red grapefruit 2 hours before and took some valium 10mg at the same time.

I got a powerful body high (though it took longer than normal to kick in) so i know my dose was good, but only for 1 hour fading out at 2 hours, now baseline. Why didn't it last long? Really don't get why people say it lasts 12hours!

I'm going to try again in a few hours with 40g. And maybe brew twice and eat some grounds with yoghurt.


Questions:
1. Is there something I could do to make the brew better?

2. Is it best to use both calcium carb and lemon juice or one or the other does alcohol help extract alkaloids? (Dont want to drink it though!)

3.Im going to buy some GF juice or just a couple of GF's. I can only get pink juice its pure though, could I make a smoothie/slurry out of this or something and would 40g be too much for me? I've ate grounds before, but not so much. The tea or grounds never makes me feel sick normally.

4. Is it worth re dosing 6 hours later?

5. How do you feel on it, does the strong body high last you the whole 8 - 12 hours or just lead to hours of mild sedation?

I can tolerate high amounts of codeine 1g+ and also poppy tea 25-40g without eating grounds. I weigh 85 kilos.

Please help me someone! I want that body high to last longer!
 
My poppy pod tea induced analgesia actually did last from 8-12 hours (drinking) roughly 4-5 times every 2 weeks when it was still legal to buy the 10 average turkey variety "bouquet" from the outdoor market. Always grind to a maximum powder - I used to let mine sit in a tight covered pot on top of the fridge' 90-100 degree (f) w/ juice of one large lemon overnight to get best results.
(never boil) but I could imagine an easy tolerance build-up using frequently...

It seems that a long acidic soak (powdered) works best to make the strongest "tea"

Thanks for your reply, was hoping someone would reply as I've got my second of the day on the stove on a low heat first I put a couple of tums in and then 15 mins later mixed with a couple of teaspoons of lemon juice, a capfull of white wine vinegar and a couple of shots of grapefruit juice. Will leave there for another half hour (totalling 2hrs 30mins) occassionally I rise the temperature (never near boiling) and then bring temp back down.

I already received the pods powdered (still legal here, and cheap :D ), but to make it even more fine I blend it with the warm water, this helps a lot more as it softens the harder chunks. Letting sit overnight does sound a good idea actually, hadn't thought of that, I know it still works in cold water just takes longer, and wouldn't destroy any alkaloids at all.

Bit confused about combining acids and tums, seems weird combining opposites, but i thought adding the tums first would release the morphine calciumate (something like that?) And then adding acids later would release more alkaloids into the solution. Can't find a definitive answer anywhere to find if that works, just my theory...can anyone could clear that up acids or antacids or both?

Did you swallow the grounds? If so then maybe thats why it lasted 8 hours? I know my pods must be good cos the initial hit is good and strong, but I am yet to learn how to extend that. its either an hour full on then baseline in 2 hours (on my first dose after my weeks break) and then doses after that on my binge days are usually a tingle for a bit then mild sedation for a few hours after.

I do it weekends only. Always look forward to that strong one after the weeks break, and then left mildly disappointed and a bit boring when done a couple days in a row. Don't think I will eat the grounds of this one, cos the thebaine can lead to no sleep, but instead I'll make a second milder brew of the grounds. Thinking of it I shouldve done a slurry this morn, so I had the whole day, but it was a new batch and my tolerance has dropped so thought best not. Also i ate an hour ago and still feel full, so better wait another hour or so and try some gf juice before. Its pure pink is that good? All i could get my hands on.

Any tips on making it last longer(is it just a case of slurry or quality etc?), and acid or alkaline tips (or both) would be helpful!
 
Hmmmm.., I read that morphine base is not soluble in water, but the morphine salts in the pods are. Interesting....can you get the base out in a tea or you just eat grounds to get the base? Also am i using enough water?? Approx 750ml for 40g of pods. is that where im going wrong?

So many questions, sorry!
