Improvements to Pillreports 2013

All reports will remain on the new system - would be a disaster to lose all the reports (again). I'm not sure what a viewer counter would add ?

Yeah we had a system crash before and lost a lot of information - its a shame as would have been great to see some of the early report. I know that on some sections on here we have the number of people viewing etc - I'm really not sure what purpose it serves apart from maybe tracking traffic trends per time of the day etc? Not really relevant to Pillreports :)
 
I know its nothing of any concern really but "adulterated pills in your area", just shows the latest 3 pills that have a warning from the whole of the world, maybe the site can do a look up on your location, or you have to set your location and it changes when you log in, also saying that a "stay logged in" tool would be nice.

Im sure this new site will have all of these anyway
 
I've always found PR to be an excellent site with no major issues. If it's not broke don't fix it.
 
Photo size is my major problem with site. Photos should be as clear as possible and reducing them to the acceptable size ruins them.
Also mods need a cracker under there ass, it seems in the Aussie section they have died off since psycho has come aboard which I might add I think psycho is doing a great job.

The adulterated pill update is great and tbh something I had completely forgot about as I've never known how it gets updated :D

The photos are one of the biggest concerns and will be a priority on the fix. Psy is doing a great job, not really sure where the rest of the team are at the moment. TS was busy for a few months but is back online - BAT is about on a regular basis :).


Just as an update - I'm in the process of getting these fixes - updates sorted out. I will copy all of our suggested fixes in here to get some feedback from you guys.
 
Just a quick rundown of some of the changes were looking to make to the overall look of the site/ threads-

Increased photo size, number of photos, ease of uploading from mobile

View new/updated threads since you last logged on (with a refresh if you wish to stay logged on)

User profiles

The ability to create a 'Mega-Thread' where if we get five reports in a row we merge all the comments

Rating a report is only available to people who are making a comment (and the rating is visible in their comment) - I have suggested a star rating instead of the thumbs up/down

Easier to find 'Add new report' button.

Updated 'Adulterated pills in your area' list relevant to each section

Description box in the report to be updated to include a template -
SHAPE: (eg. round with domed or flat face & back)
COLOUR: (note if speckled or a plain colour also)
LOGO: (plz describe well or give link to logo brand website)
PRESS: (Is the logo indented or embossed [out-pressed]?)
EDGES: (Is there a bevel on the face or back?)
SCORE/SNAP LINE:
SMELL:
TASTE: (give it a lick and describe)
TEXTURE: (hard or soft & crumbly, ect)
WEIGHT:
TOLERANCE:

High / Med / Low - to be addressed.

The home page to be updated with links to test sites, where to buy kits, how to make a report, what reactions should look like, how to use the search functions etc. Following on from what Folley suggested about users being able to vote off a report - what may work on this, If we get a user profile set up, we can then add something where if a few of the long term members hit the 'Mod Alert' button the thread would be suspended until a mod/admin can look at it. I see what the other mods think about this :)

Maybe allow reports without reagent test an consuming the pill . but they have to have a pic an a warning? Then maybe they can get deleted if they don't get up dated.

A pic an a warning is better then nothing
 
We seldom remove reports made as a warning - it's really the only time we allow second hand or vague reports. I completely agree with you that a warning with the smallest amount of information is better than no warning at all.

You often find that if a warning report goes up that a few other people around that time have also taken the pill / friend has consumed so we can patch together a report.
 
Have drug fact/info, adulterant fact/info an mdxx/rave safety info on its own page an not the guideline page cuz I don't think most people go to the guideline page.
