A friend has an eye dropper of liquid. He's generously giving me several doses, which I will consume at undetermined future dates. Should I have him drop each dose on a small square of paper or would it preferable to have him put each drop in a gel cap? My objectives are portability and preserving potency. Thanks

... a sugar cube, very traditional... ;) Wrap the cube in tinfoil to protect from light & secure away from warmth & damp. Bingo!

Thanks for the replies. I should have stated initially that I want to avoid sugar cubes since I want something small enough that multiple doses can be easily carried in a small pocket. I suppose I might reconsider if sugar cubes/gummy bears offer significant preservation advantages over paper/gel caps, but off hand I can't think why they would...

You can preserve them in distilled water or grain alcohol, sugar cubes dont keep forever neither do gummy bears or altoids, altoids and gummy bears suck at absorbing also.

If you are going to drop them on paper that is a good idea go and buy water color paper #14 from your local art store (14 pound) cut big enough squares because this will spread and might fall off any small squares.

Empty out a visine bottle, clean it out, use a syringe to inject some distilled water and the liquid you recieve this is completely disquisible you would just need a medical grade syringe.

Multiple doses on a single sugar cube allow you to carry as a single unit then crush it up later, thoroughly mix and divide into even(ish) doses later. Paper is the most inconspicuous but it is difficult and slightly wasteful dropping on a single square. It is far easier doing this on a whole sheet

sweet tarts are classic as well, cause they have that one sort of concave side. Drop the L on that side, let it dry. I usually put a plastic bowl over doses when they are drying because I have cats and I don't want them getting into it.

Gum works. It takes like an hour to dry/absorb though. When you are ready, chew the gum and voila.

Be sure to use DISTILLED water if diluting in water, the teeniest amount of chlorine, such as in tap water, will destroy the L instantly!

It won't destroy it instantly, but it isn't an ideal solution for long term storage.

Fair enough, read something about chlorine being deadly to LSD, but perhaps the concentration needs to be higher than it is in tap water...
