I have a quick question if someone has the time....I let my hubby talk me into
Iving shake and bake with aleve-d for the first time... I did three shots total over a 48 hour
Period....the total combined amount of all the shots together was between 1/8 of a gram
And 1/4 gram ...I received a phone call from my doctor asking me to come in....to check on my gallbladder with a surgeon
I am worried it is going to show up on any test he runs if he does run any..... I have already had ultrasound and all of that done.... And I am 140 lbs 5' 4"age 25... Not a everyday user...usually only do roxy or dilaudid every once in awhile to ease pain....and I only do the roxys like once a month.... I wouldn't be asking how long it takes to get out of your system...it's just I need to know the closest time someone cn give me from personal experience...cause they want to take my gallbladder out...and I don't want to risk any of that stuff still being in my system and jeopardize anything with my surgery or the anesthesia
Process

The last shot I did wasn't much at all syringe had 10 units in it and was done 12 to 13 hours ago

Shake and bake could be anything from meth to krokodil. Ya gotta be more specific! I'm sure someone can help once that's figured out.

I am guessing meth...like the lye..lithium...cold meds etc...is what my hubby is telling me...dunno if that helps you guys out any...sorry sweeties still a noob to most of the drug world

My thoughts are that a newbie should not dive into the deep end of drug taking by iv ing unknown substances. How dumb. Your husband is just as dumb. Nominated for darwin award.

I may be a newbie but unfortunately my hubby had been battling addiction for many years now the only reason I wasn't 100% sure what to put on here is because I was asking my half awake half asleep husband what it was my hubby wouldn't let me take anything was bad...yes I know that that stuff is bad all on it's own .... But can't think of better way to say it...I didn't come on here to be made to feel lower than dirt....I just came on here to try and get friendly advice....I know out was stupid to do it in the first place...I was just hurting so bad from gallstones kidney stones....kidney infection and there was nothing else....as for my hubby he won't let me touch anything until he has tested it first

It sucks that you got "judged". That's NOT the norm here. I'm sure you don't need anyone to tell you it was reckless. I'm not sure how long it would stay in your system, but as long as the operation isn't today, you should be fine. Your HR and BP might be elevated, but mine always are at the doctors anyway.

Yea looking back, my post was less than constructive. Apologies for that.
Let me be a little more constructive. As you have seen the pain of addiction second hand, it makes little sense to start your drug career with intravenous material.
Yes its not my place to preach, however any serious user will most likely say the same. I certainly wouldn't encourage my SO to try and catch up with me if I was in that position.
Now I realise that I am sounding even more judgmental, but as typing on my phone is a pain, I won't go on.
I don't know your circumstances so its probably not my place to comment too much but you did post on a public forum, so sometimes you just gotta take what you get. I am sure someone will make better posts than I.

Hi there..from what i know they will run some tests, incl a drug test before surgery. Try to at least find out exactly what it was you were given since that still seems to be a little unclear. If you dont want to tell your dr thats fine, but pls consider telling the anesthesiologist. Hope it goes well and not too painful afterwards:-)

@bunny thank you ...and don't worry about your first post...I wasn't meaning my comment directly towards you just in general....but as for this being a public forum I expected to get criticism just hate hearing it sometimes lol...for everyone else that had posted so far thank you for your advice....and as for what I took...from what I understood from my hubby [half awake] it was shake and bake meth made with coleman fuel aleve d nitrate etc. so I am guessing the name for it is regular shake and bake meth .....sorry so unclear guys thats all I could get him to tell me before passing out...try to get more info from him in a few if needed

Please be responsible and inform your doctor of any substance(s) that you suspect you have taken. Only then can they make an informed decision regarding whether or not it would be safe to carry on with your surgery.

As a nurse I would say either have it put off for a day or two or let the doc know (wouldn't be the option I would want to take but some people's docs are better than mine). I definitely wouldn't want to undergo surgery if that were still floating around.

Now I would not want to be judgemental and won't...and being that I am not a meth user (only opiates/opioids) it sounds so crazy to me that someone injected into their veins, a sterile place with a delicate balance, a mixture such as you mentioned...coleman fuel?? Wow!! I'm not judging...it honestly just blows my mind!!

Shay2614. I am new to here, but not new to surgeries at all. I have had more than a few on my spine. I do know that all of the post-operative lab work that ordered for me to have, was never to check and see what meds/substances I had in my system. I am understanding that from your first post that is what you were asking. Good luck to you.
If you were asking if it is safe for you to go into surgery with certain substances still in your system, I have no clue.
Good luck to you.:)

Docs don't usually run drug tests unless they suspect you're on something. Please be honest with the anesthesiologist because being put to sleep is a big deal and they can care for you better if they know what they are dealing with.

This was exactly my worry for you, I don't think you have to worry about them screening for substances.
