I have recently been doing some research about using Benzodiazepines to go to sleep after an amphetamine binge.

Most of the threads I found are rather old, so I wanted to make a new one, and also open it up to all drugs, not just stimulants.

What do you think is the best Benzodiazepine to be used for the purpose of helping you fall asleep after having done drugs that are known to make it difficult to sleep? Stimulants are obviously the most notorious for this, but I believe any MDMA-like or psychedelic drug also has this effect on the user.

Flunitrazepam, preferably combined with clonazepam so you don't wake up all sweaty in the middle of the night.

I'd say some clonazepam or alprazolam to help initiate sleep, but would recommend relying on diazepam if you've been on a longer binge or tend to come down pretty hard. The half-life helps out a great deal for come downs (at least for me), but the short-acting benzos are definitely useful for an initial kick.

clonazepam is the worst choice possible.

diazepam is definitely one of the better ones besides the hypnotics, which aren't nearly as easy to find. Z-drugs work well too, if it's a stim binge then i'd rather just murder it with seroquel, no amount of benzos will knock me out after a good stim binge, i'll just end up blacked out.

lorazepam+clonazepam has been the best for me coming off of a bender. GHB works nice too but it doesnt last very long and im afraid to take benzos with it.

Not technically a benzo but real close, seroquel will put you to sleep and it's a good deep sleep.

Oh oops i missed the crashing part. Gotta stick with the tried n true diazepam. I think its super crashy if you dont have a tolerance and take like 20 or 30 mgs with some kava and some hash. Best 18 hrs of sleep i ever had.

i'd try zolpidem; it works really well for initiating deep sleep for me.

i don't have too much experience with benzos, however of the ones i've tried (alprazolam, lorazepam, diazepam & clonazepam) i'd recommend alprazolam for sleep.

I will just chime in here with a warning against using the Z-drugs for sleep after an amphetamine binge. They tend to cause delirium and hallucinations easily at that point. It has happened to me and my ex a couple of times.

recommend ambien and not even give temazepam the light of day? temaz has, IMO, the perfectly blend of anxiety relief, sleep inducement, and length of effects for just getting right to bed and staying that way long enough to get into a nice deep sleep without disrupting your sleeping patterns too badly like longer acting benzos can.

I've taken z-drugs for amphetamine come-downs before and have had HORRIFIC experiences where I end up with the ambien walrus in my head for 4 hours and no recollection of anything that I did after it kicked in. Can definitely be dangerous for those looking to "crash," which is why I wouldn't recommend it personally. If you don't have benzos, but do have seroquel, then seroquel can be an option. If you're RX'd seroquel, however, chances are your body has built up some resistance to its sedative properties and won't help as much. Either way, benadryl / diphenhydramine is always a cheap, readily available option for sleep & sedation. 100mg will definitely knock most people out for a while, and it's the only OTC / legal option discussed so far. Just a tip.

benadryl would be good too. i guess my amphetamine come-downs haven't been bad enough to induce any really bad experiences; ambien just knocks me out completely no matter what else i've had (or not had) that day. different strokes, i suppose!

Depending on how strong the stimulant is, and how rarely you use drugs such as benzo's, I'm assuming you can kind of gauge where you stand in regards to how much would potentially be too much. But I'd say rail a Xanny bar, then Pop or snort 1-2 Milligram Klonopin. (If snorting both, do the Xanax in one nostril and the K-Pin in the other.)
The Xanax will kick in quite faster and stronger, whereas the Klonopin will stay in your system longer. So the Xanny should deliver the knockout punch whereas the Klonopin will keep you in a sleeper hold. If you have any antihistamines such as benadryl, add one of them into the mix to augment the other two Benzo's. (Personally about the only use I've found for benadryl aside from Opiate augmentation.)
There has been discussion that seems to discourage one from snorting certain Benzo's as they are not as bioavailable within the nasal cavity, correct me if I'm wrong but I'd imagine the drip would take care of that, and if it seems there is too much binder in your nostrils, after ten minutes or so, snort a few droplets of water.

Personally I find my Klonopin kick in much faster when snorting, and have a layering effect if done within extended periods of time. (Granted I'm at 4 1MG PRN each day, just switched from Ativan after I realized K-Pins feel oh so much better and keep me much more mellow, this coming from someone prescribed Benzo's for over 10 years.)
