I can honestly say I've never actually watched it. Not even the cannabis-related ones 
A "mate" did force me to watch the beginning of the one where some bloke is being noshed off by his epileptic girlfriend though (with hilarious (if not somewhat ominously predictable results
)) and - frankly - I doubt anything more is needed

What I find totally unrealistic about that programme in general is the way that as soon as Dixie and Jeff burst in with a patient, Zoë or Ash or Tom or Sam or whoever are always right there in reception, ready to move the patient into a cubicle. In a real A+E department, once you are out of the ambulance, you get shunted up a side corridor and have to wait for ages just to be triaged. Then you eventually get sent somewhere else to wait .....
For the full taste of the hypocrisy of their attitude (which is far from unique), just watch how they're going to handle Tom's addiction to the respectable, legal drug diazepam .....

Cant believe you're not being sarcastic. Casualty and all the other copy cat programs really are fuckin dire. Formulaic plots and scripts in every episode. Surgeon with huge ego clashes with some other self important head of department who tries to interfere with his department, or one nurse cops off with another and then breaks up and then they get back together.

Am pretty sure this story had been an urban myth for years before Casualty used it (on a teatime peak family show no less
) but I was sooooooooooo glad they went with it. Would love to have seen the script meeting at the Beeb for that one :D

youd be surprised what goes in hospitals. ego clash, jealousy, passive aggression, and sex amongst the staff is apparently pretty rife
the mrs recently told me they (the doctors) openly talk shit behind the backs of drug users they treat as well. suffice to say, if it was up to some of them - we wouldnt get treatment at all

Charlie has been on that show for about 30 years then (not too much exagerating either). He wasn't fat last time i saw him, but his hair was starting to grey. Curly grey hair. Charlie. Mr. Everyman.
