Psychedelics and Self-Realization

The intention behind this thread is to get to know experiences with psychedelics that have been spiritually insightful or have in anyway however small impacted lives and general functionality (perceptions/points of view, creativity etc.)

the realization that we are all intricately connected and are as a whole one consciousness experiencing itself in infinite ways.

That the DMT elves are running a simulation and that is our universe.

That morality is relative.

That the beauty of life is as great as the suffering of life.

i have too many experiences to share but the above ideas came to me through salvia, DMT, 2c-e and DXM mostly, but it could have been any substance. I love when i smoke DMT and all the entities i encounter are happy to see i made it, tell me to relax and enjoy the experience and that'll ill be okay, when in reality i'm drooling all over myself :)

Salvia trips are special too; once i had thought i was a rock and had rock consciousness for my entire existence. It was peaceful. Other times i saw myself go out of my body and a new 'me' go back in. I was also a waterfall once, only to later realize that it was likely a hallucination of drooling all over myself, again.

The feeling of being part of a factory or something like that is a theme that often comes up with salvia/DMT for me. Like part of a big consciousness machine.

On DXM at high doses i felt like i was a storm drain, water coming over me and going down, i could hear the drops, the water flowing over me, like it was revitalizing my spirit. That could very well of been because i was laying down near a storm drain though as i was certainly not in the same dimension while experiencing such things and was blacking in and out constantly or again maybe i was drooling all over myself, i don't know why that happens every time i have a breakthrough experience lol.

I've heard a lot about LSD changing people for the long term. Are there other psychedelics that have a more profound change for the long term than LSD?

From the literature, LSD, mescaline, psilocybin, DMT, 5-MeO-DMT all have the same capacity to inspire one to work and practice. From my book, iboga surpasses all of these.

Sub EK - It is all One. All the rest is illusion.

That being said, I experienced it on 4HOMET, 4HODET, 2C-P, mushrooms and MDMA.

Yes, I 'cut my psychedelic teeth' on LSD more times than I can count. I was never much of a mushroom fan (love psilocin from the lab though) and once I found LSD, commercial-bred-for-flowers morning glory seeds stopped appealing to me....so yes I have had quite a number of LSD experiences.....most of them in my late teens and early 20s.....some of them REALLY beautiful and mystical, some of them were SERIOUS work...and just to be sure I had some LSD last month so yes.....I have 'tried' it. :)

>How spiritually insightful was 4HOMET?

It wasn't. I tried it around the time I was big into 4-AcO-DMT and there was no comparison....I mean any psychedelic can be spiritually insightful....that more depends on the user's intentions but my intentions for 4-AcO-DMT and 4-HO-MET were the same and...I never went back to 4-Ho-MET if that answers your question.

My notes on it say.......

4-Ho-MET I only tried once, so notes are much more patchy...but I found it a far less entheogenic experience...it had visuals and the works but they seemed more in the background compared to miprocin. No body load, but a more body oriented high.

My notes suggest there was not much to the experience I enjoyed...at that point I had tried most of the other 4-substituted tryptamines and already had my favorites (iprocin and psilacetin) so I wrote it off and never went back.

How spiritually insightful was 4HOMET?

I know most people don't consider it a spiritual psychedelic, but for me anyway it definetly was.

I feel so much in touch with myself while doing it, I compare the feeling to MDMA in that respect.
Maybe even more than with mushrooms. Don't get me wrong, mushrooms are awesome and definetly spiritual as well. It's just that on 4HOMET I feel the most like "me".
That "me" is definetly not my ego, but my soul.
I had a ++++ on 50mg, where I experienced the White Light for the entire plateau. I was with God, and I got to ask everything I wanted to know, and She told me.
That was my breaking point, from there I started reading everything from Shulgin to Ram Dass to Bruce Lipton. I feel I have come home since that experience.

On a related note: I do believe every chemical has that possibility. Even without chemicals it can happen, be it while meditating, doing asanas or just spontaneous.
We live in a world of Wonder !

On 2CB we are all the same entities. We are a result of the universe as a whole and we are all good people.

Then I came down and saw the bad in this world once again

If I may ask, what did She teach you? I mean when you experienced being with God, what did She teach you?

The world needs to be on 2CB together for once at least.

hello mgs
thanks for the report which revives my interest for ibogaine

i can't help but notice when you write
humans were not meant to be vegans
humans were not meant to be anything in particular
just like cats were not "meant" to be carnivorous
they just happen to be

it is about what we are
and what we decide to be within the possibilities presented to us

we happen to be omnivorous
but we are not a priori "meant" to be
no supreme judge of the universe wrote a list of what which animal "should" be
so everyone is free to choose what he "wants" to be, carnivorous if you metabolism allows it, omnivorous if that's your choice, vegan if you think it's better for the world, etc.

many animals don't have the choice, they are either carnivorous, herbivorous or else and cannot choose to eat whatever they want
humans on the other hand have this chance

so let's be the leaders of our own lives rather than fall prey to common but unjustified a prioris

gosh i may need help just to put some of these in words most of the time i just sit and cry with joy. its Love
