okay so i recently started experiment with xanax. Ive been taking the purepac 2mg "yellow school buses". 1st time i popped 1 bar smoked a blunt, felt nice. 2nd time i let a bar sit under my tongue, took another bar and lets just say my memory ends there. now i just popped 2 bars (4mg alprazolam) it's been over 2 hours and i really dont feel anything. anyone possibly have an explanation? im 5'9 125 lbs.

It could be that the pills are bunk, or it could be that they haven't been stored properly by the person you bought them from, or it could be anything. It could also possibly be tolerance, depending on the gap between this dose and the last one. Benzodiazepines aren't really recreational, and their honeymoon period ends relatively fast.

Can you give us an idea of the time-line here? It may be some sort of tolerance / comedown effect, but without knowing what happened when it's hard to speculate.
How much did you take that second time? If your memory is totally gone, it's quite possible you re-dosed in your disinhibited state and ended up taking more than you could normally imagine yourself taking. Have you been counting out your pills?

yes i remember making the thread lol, but idk i think just taking 2mg at once just doesnt do it for me. Just popped 2 bars at once and im feeling like how xanax should make me feel ( not euphoric, but very relaxed and enjoyable ). and btw im new to the forum, appreciate the positive vibe. thanks for the insight
Benzo's not recreational, fuck yea they are! Especially if you get anxious on weed, or are going to a party they are perfect. Make you feel as if you deserve every girl etc, definitely not as recreational as opiates tho that's for sure.
OP this seems odd, it sounds like you were sure they hit you the first few times but not this time? Are you sure you aren't feeling anything? I would recommend smoking weed as that combo usually lets you know if the benzo is working or not.

They are part of my weed experience most times unless I get hold of a good indica. Unlike my teens, the shiot makes me feel anxious and xanax lets me enjoy it.
I have also gotten some bunk bars on occasion - not from Walgreens or CVS. :D I will look them up on drugs.com's pill identifier and the shit is usually from India. Fuckers!
So your first experience with 4mg lead to a blackout, the second did nothing, and the latest made you feel about how you expected. It sounds to me like a rapidly increasing tolerance. I'd slow down a bit, not dose everyday, ect. Trust me when I tell you that a benzo dependency is something you really want to avoid.

You don't really feel any different when you're on benzos, you just react more non-chalantly to stimuli. They sort of go from feeling nothing, to feeling carefree i suppose, to blacking out.

Starting at that high of a dose is asking for trouble with tolerance issues. Idk but I think if you started low the first time them maybe you would have been ok
Something else to consider. If you become physically dependent on high doses of xanax, you will suffer severe withdrawals. The friends I have known who got addicted to large doses suffered seizures withdrawing from them when they ran out.

I don't know how you guys can take such huge doses of benzos, I can feel good from .5mg alprazolam, and 1.5mg knocks me out! Course I can't even feel 45mgs temazepam...
Have you tried taking smaller dosages? With certain drugs, after you take so much of it, you can get to a point of being so high that you don't even realize you're high! Happens to me with opiates, I'll be nodding and not even know it till someone bitches at me.
So yeah, maybe try a milligram instead of four, and see how it goes? You'd be doing yourself right to slow down with these, I haven't been through benzo withdrawal myself but I understand it's much worse than opioid withdrawal, which are beastly and hellish in and of itself!
