Chester Bennington joins Stone Temple Pilots

I don't think anyone said it was awesome.
Hiring on a member of a awful band like Linkin Park and continuing to crank out music under the name of a fairly notable band is only a couple steps up from beaming a hologram of Tupac up onto stage.
In my opinion.....

STP stopped being relevant in 1995. Linkin Park Stopped being relevant in 2002. Together, they are less irrelevant than their individual parts. I guess that's a step in the right direction?

i hope chester bennington joins a cult that throws him into an active volcano for the betterment of mankind.

Will Chester Bennington properly fill the dance-void left by Scott Weiland??

Riddle me that.

^ That's a pretty funny read. It also led me to their new "hit single" with Mr. Bennington:

Jesus christ, what a load of shit that is.

Bingo Bango. Read the link in Azron's post if you want to learn about the lawsuit STP filed against Weiland.

Unreliable addict, indeed.
Haha an unreliable addict is better than some shit sounding bullshit that no one wants. This shit tramples on the name of STP and to me, with all the shit they've done, was never super high up anyways, I fucking absolutely love Core and Purple, was listening to them both recently but damn.......

^ I won't argue that their new stuff with Bennington isn't worse than both AIDS and cancer, because it's at least just as bad.

Haha, I'm seriously wondering if this was something they really wanted to do musically thinking it would further STP as a band or if they just thought "Dude from LP....he had a couple singles made a bit of bank...lets get him for flash/weird appeal!" and are just trying to scrape together some last bits of cash before STP truly dies a flaming death....?

Bennigton with STP sucks, yes, but as of the past few years, STP sucked with Weiland too. I tried to see them twice and Weiland was so fucking loaded he was off key, forgetting lyrics, and just stumbling around. That may have been cool 20 years ago but it's just lame now. Nobody wants to pay to see that.

So at least they found a dude with a hard work ethic who is a professional, even though I just don't think he's the right fit for STP.

^ the only thing he's a right fit for is being the victim of a violent and sexual degrading murder.
