[LSD Subthread] First time LSD

1st acid trip

This morning around 8:45 I put a tab of LSD under my tongue. I have never done acid before and thought 1 hit would be a good starting dose. I kinda got like a warm body fuzz feeling from it like an hour and a half later and then I just sat outside and listened to music. I mean, I didn't really feel like i was "trippin" but then again I don't really know what tripping feels like. I have experience with every other type of drug other than hallucinogens. I think I just build it up wayy to much in my head. Or maybe next time I need to eat like 4 or 5...

Going from 1 to 4 or 5 is too big of a jump in dose but other than that: yeah slowly work up in increments until the results are satisfactory. I find LSD to be easy on low doses but be sure that it can get pretty serious if you keep going up...

sounds like some weak acid or a weak rc, you'll definatly know when your tripping 1 tab had me floored my first time ive taken at least 2 every time sense(first time was about 5 years ago I was 15) and always tripped balls but 1 was amazing for my first time and I wouldn't have done it any other way

I'd like to use LSD very much! I have experience in MDMA(like around 25 pills in 6 months) and I'd like to decrease my usage to nearly to minimum because its potential danger in brain.
I tried magic truffles in A'dam. And loved it. LSD is a bit intense i think is it true? I can control my trip and everytime I roll I control myself easily.
But I don't know anything about LSD. How you consume it? Put the blotter on your tongue and wait it to dissolve?
When you take LSD, your pupils become big like in MDMA?
If its like mushrooms, Its better to take outdoor events. But if i want to try at home, what should i do?
How is the dangers of the drug? I don't exceed the normal dose in any drugs so what is the potential dangers in LSD?

Hope someone will help me :)

i was in that boat once. set and setting is key. get some music one tab should just stay on your tongue or your gums. i usually just keep it there till i forget its there. pupil dilation will occur. crossing the threshold between indoors and into the outside world is my most favorite thing to do. set and setting is key. be with friends and you should be safe and of course hydration is important and not operating heavy machinery. ;)
 
I am considering dropping acid at a music festival. I've had it before but it must've been pretty weak cause I wasn't tripping that hard. so my questions are:

Could I trip for like 4 days straight or would that build a tolerance and I'd have to take more each day?
Is it a bad idea to drop acid right after waking up?
Does a good dose of acid make music any more enjoyable?

No, you can't trip every day, LSD tolerance grows very rapidly. You could trip twice in four days, MAYBE. Once on day one, once on day four.

Yes. You need to wake up, eat a substantial breakfast, wait a couple of hours to digest your food, then drop your acid. In my experience, eating is a lot more difficult while tripping and you don't want to starve yourself all day.

I'm under the assumption that I received 5 tabs (120ug each) on 1 sheet of longitudinal fruitful paper ? ( guessing i cut it into 5 separate sheets to make it even doses) but then Im not sure because that would mean that it was laid in a solution rather than having a dropper because 1 strip with 5 hits could't be accurately done unless it was done in mass and in a solution... IDK this shit fucks me up when i think about it cause I'm a nooooooob lol anyways I cut the sheet 1/5 and am about to do it tonight for the first time ever!!! i hope this isn't bunk -snip- No vendor discussion whatsoever please ~Jesusgreen

LSD first time

<peck>I've</peck> got 4 hits of blotter acid and am looking forward to exploring the realms of expanded consciousness. I am wondering, for a first time, if I should dose one hit, or try half and another half in an hour. Also, I want to know if the effects are controllable after the first 8-10 hours of the trip :).

Why are people giving the OP dosage advice given that a "hit" isn't a unit of measurement?

OP: your blotters could be anywhere between 20 and 350μg. The only way to know how strong they are is to start low and work your way up.

If you don't know the exact strength of your blotters (that means and only means: had them lab-tested) and don't know how you'll react to LSD (aka, it's your first time), you should start with 1 hit. For me it takes quite a while to notice the effects (looked it up in my journal: about 1,5 hours to really notice the first effects, around 3,5 hours before the visuals reached their peak) and seeing how LSD lasts quite long (for me at least: at T+8, which is my last entry before I went to bed, I was still experiencing slight visuals), I wouldn't suggest redosing. Save those blotters for another time, maybe take all three if you feel you're up for it. But you won't know that until you've tried it, so just take one.

If you knew the exact amount of μg LSD in your hits you could make a more educated guess, but even then you won't really know how you'll react to it. For example: my first time taking MDMA (and I got it from a reputable online vendor, so I trust the purity and strength although I hadn't had it lab-tested) I took half a pill, ~100mg and it hit me so hard and sudden it wasn't pleasant at all. Luckily for me I took it at home, alone, so I could just cuddle my pillows and blankets until I felt better. What I'm trying to say is that even at a relatively low/starter dose you can have a bad reaction to a certain drug and you won't really know until you've tried it. There's hope though ;): the second time I took MDMA was the other half of the same pill and I really enjoyed it. But I wouldn't want to imagine what would've happened if I took the whole pill my first time, even if I actually had someone experienced and sober at my side to guide me.
 
I doubt that it's very strong given the scarcity in my area. Hate to sound like I'm bombarding you guys with questions but these are things I'd like to (if possible) clear up before my trip. If not, well, in the footsteps of the greats i tentatively follow :D.

1. a single hit or half (and a half after an hour)?
2. Will I require a trip-sitter?
3. How long into the trip (i.e. 8?10?) hours will I be able to function normally?
4. On this trip would I likely retain cognitive clarity/ lucidity?
5. At 1 hit of average blotter, what type of visuals are most common?

I know that a lot of this is entirely subjective but would still appreciate any insights.

Start low and work your way up is good advice, but you don't want your first acid experience to be a let down either :) You'll have to weigh the risks against the positives for yourself, though fat chance a single blotter would be too overwhelming (and if it is, consider yourself blessed with good blotter)

You don't require a trip sitter but it's always nice to have someone around. You'll be relatively normal once the plateau dissipates (and quite lucid throughout the experience), though your trip will last a bit longer than that. I'd guess 8 hours, but it definitely varies person-to-person (same for the visuals, but patterning/persian rug-like things is something I note in even lower doses)

Just have fun man and don't worry too much (and if you must, then put that energy in to arranging to perfect trip (making sure the place you're going to be is clean, preparing good music, reading up on the nature of being, those kind of things :D))
 
Thanks! Reading a lot of mckenna at the moment and have some Entheogenic tunes :). Thinking of tripping in my room at night, bad idea?
 
Is there anyone else in the house that absolutely can't know about you tripping (e.g parents)? If so, I wouldn't do that. Some people find the inside dysphoric while tripping so make sure you can leave the house if you must
 
I can trip at another house way out in nature that i'd love to, just have to wait for a free day there, which may be a whiiile
 
A user on a first time trip taking 2 hits (blotters) of unknown strength but likely around 100ug... would he be able to walk around to local stores? Able to pass off as not-high to outsiders, ie small conversations? Or is this based upon an individual's tolerance and how the user reacts to the LSD? And at what dosage would the user be able to pass off as not-high?
And if the blotters were ingested at roughly an hour before the normal bedtime... would he be able to sleep that night?
