Basically what I said in the title. Arm is sore but it isn't unbearable... just a little uncomfortable. Some puss but not gotten really bad yet. Also is it safe to put peroxide on injection site? Jw bc I was nervous it would eat through the puss and go in my vein.

If there is any puss coming out then you need to seek medical attention. Hydrogen peroxide can slow down the healing process if it gets into the cavity [source], so if you think that it can get into it then don't use it.

BDD --> OD

The best cleanser for skin/wound infections I've found is Chlorhexidine gluconate. Brand name is Hibiclens but there's generic/store brands. It's much better than alcohol or peroxide. It's great stuff, used to sanitize skin in surgical applications. However, if you have got any bacteria in the bloodstream the infection can manifest in other parts of the body & you should see a doctor for antibiotics.

That and since there is puss the doctor might have to make an incision to lance the abscess. And as for the antibiotics, make sure you see a doctor for them and don't just take some that you may have sitting in the cupboard at home since not all of them are used for the same thing which can complicate things even more.

You really should get it checked. Self-medicating might help tonight but probably won't work to eradicate a major infection.

Go to the Emergency Room. Trust me, you DO NOT want to get a blood infection. Not only does it have a high-mortality rate, it is an excruciatingly painful condition. Go. Now.
Don't bother lying to them about how it happened, either. They see this sort of thing all the time. By law, they have to treat drug addicts/users the same as anybody else.

Get medical evalutation NOW, maybe it's not serious and just with 10 days of antibiotic cream or a lancing surgery you'll be ok, but go NOW please, waiting more time can result in bigger and extended infection and worse.....
