Real life Breaking Bad - school teacher with cancer deals meth

A MATHS teacher with cancer has been caught trafficking methamphetamine at a Boston school, in what appears to be a real-life version of the hit TV series, Breaking Bad.

Police have charged Stephen Doran, 57, after he allegedly had a package containing around half a kilogram of the drug sent to him at Match Charter Middle School in suburban Boston, where he had been working as a maths tutor.

Doran had been undergoing months of chemotherapy for stage III cancer.

The hit TV show Breaking Bad's central character, Walter White, played by Emmy award-winning actor Bryan Cranston, is a school teacher who starts trafficking drugs after being diagnosed with stage III lung cancer.

Walter White cooks and sells meth to pay for medical bills and to support his family after his death.

Police say Stephen Doran left his school at around 12.30pm on Tuesday and was driving in his car when Massachusetts state troopers pulled him over.

In the car, they found a package with two heat-sealed bags containing 480 grams of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine.

When police searched his home, they found evidence consistent with a drug dealing operation, including $10,000 in cash, a digital scale and 38 additional grams of the drug.

They charged Doran with trafficking methamphetamine and violating the state's drug laws in a school zone.

Doran was ordered to remain on home confinement with a GPS device attached to him.

He is allowed to leave his house for medical appointments if he posts $10,000 bail.

A spokesman from Doran's school, Mike Larsson, told CBS television he had "no knowledge, nor any reason to believe, that any staff, teachers, or students were involved in this matter or were in danger in any way".

Am I right in thinking if he doesn't post the 10g's for bail, he won't be able to go for medical treatment? Or have I read that wrong..?

What's wrong with saying maths? It's an Aussie article (from an Australian news website) and that's what we call it here, maths class etc.

Jesse is a sell out whiny bitch and without Walter would have never moved up from junky dealer. Walter makes the big moves that Jesse just can't because he's a bitch, bitch.

oh fuck you must be trolling

You seem to be.

Hank and Jesse both make harder decisions and demonstrate more depth and character than Walt ever has. He doesn't make tough decisions. He makes selfish or rash ones. He has never been able to maintain a stable partnership in the business, and is going to end up with no allies and many enemies.

yeah but look at Walt's progression from school teacher to drug king pin? you don't see that as a beautiful transition in itself?

I can think of plenty of tough decisions Walt has either done or has dealt with as a result of his actions. He's not a bitch like Jesse and goes and cries about a kid dying or killing a bunch of people, whereas Jesse couldn't even handle killing Gail. Walt is definitely the anti-hero but that's the point. You think Jesse was going to stab Mike and kill him? You think Jesse would be anything without Walt? Though Walt has pretty much given him everything and taken it away, still Jesse was a junkie loser at the start of the show. Even from the beginning, Walt showed that he possessed something that Jesse did not, he could run shit, make shit happen, realize his goals. While Jesse just hung on for the ride. Who made the very first kill? and it was by all means a necessary one as well. Jesse would've ended up in jail numerous times because he was too much of a pussy.

Walt stands for something, living life without any regard for consequences, which is fucking great. He does what he wants, no matter who it hurts, and lives. That is life. That is true freedom. As well, in that, he has true power because he's not caught up with morality or other stupid social constructs, he does what he wants. His ideological framework is the same as 'do as thou wilt' as opposed to the pussy version of 'do whatever you want so long as it doesn't infringe on someone else's ability to do what they want or in some way harms them' god damn i hate that shit! True freedom is doing exactly what you want. Roman freedom, the way it should be.

Walt's rash decisions were well calculated so that he wouldn't get fucked over monetarily or lose his power. The episode with the 'fly' really shows all of this, most people hated it but it was the single most meaningful episode of the series. Jesse just couldn't understand why Walt had to get that fly. They represent two opposing moral frameworks, jesse's being the bitch one and Walt's being the one with balls.

and shit when walt runs over the guy who is about to kill Jesse, did you not cheer for walt? standing ovation perhaps? single greatest moment in tv history??

and god damn it Hank??? i can understand the argument for Jesse but Hank is a douche bag. That fucking rock collection, he's always 20 steps behind and too stupid to realize what's going on. I fucking hate Hank. Next you'll be telling me that Skyler is an amazing woman and that Hank's wife is a pleasure to be around!
