Where is mdma's place? what do yous think?

After researching and consuming mdma for the past couple years or so, my conclusion is that i think that mdma is best suited for the therapy room. It could help keep families who dont share relationships anymore get together again, or even people in marriages or relationships from falling apart.

I could take what i have learnt so far about this drug including doseage, and all kinds of factors and perhaps develop a plan for therapy use, tweaking doseage for body ratio of course, but i think ive found a way to use this without it being so harmful or depressing afterall provided that it is a low dose and not overwhelmingly strong.

Yes, mdma on some packed dancefloor with euphoric electronic music playing is an amazing setting to experience mdma, its a real blast but i think people get carried away and want to live out this little world of euphoria. Once a month, once a week, once every few months everyones pattern of use varying too, sometimes regardless of the persons knowledge on the drug, and just purely their lifestyle/partying preferences. Taking MDMA is not like taking up smoking or something, it is a very potent euphoric stimulant that holds psychedelic and empathetic properties, its not something id advise anyone 'taking up' or doing regularly or even planning out on how they are going to use it in the near future.

self control is something that once you've lost it, im afraid 9 times out of 10 you've lost it for a while...

i would actually be quite interested in trying several substances in a clinical setting with a guide.
lsd, mdma, mda, 5meodmt are some that come to mind.

its cool when everyone around you is dosed out but i feel like i could go so much deeper than laughing all night at stupid shit.

I think it may have application in all kinds of settings.
I personally prefer to do it in the bedroom with my partner and not too often either.

I thought I was the only one who thought this! MDMA is best enjoyed with a girlfriend you really love, alone IMO.

Yeah, I don't find it that great for either situation.. at least, it's not what I would prefer.

I love rolling at home with some friends with the lights turn off, glowsticks turned on and everyone either spread out on some blankets or dancing their ass off to some fat bass. It gets much more psychedelic in those small settings, IMO

mdma should be available to adults over the counter from chemists. <3 =D :|

If they call pharmacists "chemists" in the UK, what do you call an actual chemist? Hmmmm...If you told someone you were a "chemist", would they think you worked in a lab or in a pharmacy? Or do you just call the actual "drug store" " the chemist's"?

The degree you need to be a pharmacist probably requires a lot of chemistry courses anyway, so maybe it doesn't make a difference! Just a thought!

I think MDMA should be taken in both settings, and many others as well....A positive experience from the drug could be beneficial no matter the circumstances...

Although, once you've already used it recreationally a handful of times, I don't know if it would have the same impact if you then went and took it in a therapy setting. It would seem that it would be most effective in therapy if you've never used it all before taking it with a therapist. Just my opinion.

your op presents a false dilemma, darksidesam. i think it has value in both venues, and many others besides.

I believe that we can all agree to this, as I do very much so. I have used in many situations, even in the ones that many others before my post in this thread have stated as well, and I guess really the therapeutic aspect of MDMA, for me at least, is really what you take from the situation. I see to many people use this drug to run away from problems constantly trying to find that happiness that ecstasy can bring, but given the fact that it can be beneficial, as I have found and some of you as well, I take it that if this substance were to be controlled in moderation and given over the counter as Laugh has stated, in rations (not exactly sure how this would be done) the world or a particular participating country and/or state would see many beneficial aspects, through research, moral change, etc. etc.

I've used it in both situations. I much prefer sitting with friends at home and listening to music and talking.

Taking it in a club or bar is really fun, but you don't tend to learn much (or anything).

^ sometimes we're learning even though we don't realise we're learning. sometimes just having fun and not learning anything is ok too :)

This. I'll never forget the nights out i've had under the influence of MDMA. Doesn't mean it can't help someone in a clinical setting too.

I agree that MDMA should be used for special purposes or occasions, not habitually.
