I was just curious if this was normal. For some reason, something about needles and shooting someone else up always gets me sexually excited. Gently slipping the needle in, watching their face as you search for and hit their vein, and holding eye contact as you push the plunger down and watch the heroin take effect, that satisfied sigh and smile on their lips, mmm... (I especially love doing this to girls who have never shot heroin before, maybe they had smoked it previously, or were excessively curious; we all have our reasons), and then slowly pulling the needle out so I can lick the blood and brush my lips on the injection site. Something about being high myself makes me want to touch, and oftentimes these experiences have gone much further as they sit there, blissed out, with my tongue and lips on their (usually) arm.
That's more of a specific example, but needles in general do get me excited, and I was curious if others discovered similar feelings after using needles.

I don't think this is uncommon and for a lot of people part of the draw / addictive part of needles. Some people find the actual injection more addictive than the substance and often crave the act of injection more than the drug.

I personally think that any touching / extra should only be done with consent of the person your shooting up though - if not I personally find it creepy to take advantage of anyone in that state. Also you need to take into consideration health risks of licking another person's blood etc.

well ya know i was always a cutter....so moving onto the needle wasn't that much of a move for me. i mean it wasn't that bad i just had to have other people hit me 90% of the time or i'd OD or something.

might as fix up this post now that i'm more lucid.

i used my own needles, i just had others hit me. and it was kind of a weird sexual almost connection. i had one great looking little punk rock junkie scumbag friend was a drug friend and his girlfriend was extremely fucking pissed when she saw us together because we knew she was sharing some "experience" she couldn't.

i used to have a scumbag junkie friend here who was always just....there if i wanted a shot. thank god he finally realized our mutual drug use was not a relationship and would never become one.

It is kind of creepy, isn't it? Not that I've forced anyone to do anything they didn't want to, an audible "no" or a bad reaction would bring me back to reality, but I'm sure there most definitely still a bit of advantage being taken; mind you, I'm talking past lovers and interests, though, and they are still there when the dope is gone.

Part of the whole Sexual Substitute Thing .

Once you have got a proper habit it will be the closest you come to anything Sexual , unless of course you are working the Oldest Trade

I had sex and sexual experiences when I was using heavily and daily, if that's what you mean by a proper habit. They weren't always good (didn't orgasm much and sometime it was for dope) and my sex drive was dormant through much of it, but I still could get turned on and climax.

It's not that uncommon in drug users. However, like others have said, you MUST be aware of the health risks involved and you have to be 100% careful and trusting of the other person.

Yeah.... I don't think I know a junkie that isn't hooked on the ritual as well.
I have incredibly vivid drug dreams. They almost always have to do with shooting up. The prep, registering, etc.

As far as hitting someone else, yes, there's definitely a sexual element to it.
A girl I was with for a while would say that her tapping my vein was almost on level with giving me an orgasm.
Giving such a extreme level of pleasure, they're toe and toe with each other.

Your description skeezed me out a bit, too. Your overall point is valid, though.

Lol! Guess I'm weirder and creepier than I thought. Does it make it less creepy that I'm a girl, and that I was describing a specific period of time with a lover? d:
Although they seem to enjoy it as much as I do, like what you mentioned about your (past) girlfriend; I'm glad to hear that I wasn't making up the sexual elements to it though, and that they aren't just in my head.

^It's funny that it does make it less creepy with the knowledge that you're a girl. It's not fair, but it does.
The added info helps. From the first post, I got a image of a male drug dealer inviting somewhat opiate naive girls to his apartment, shooting them up and..... going from there.
That's obviously not the case. So, that's good. :D.

Definitely not a unusual thing. Just be careful. Especially developing a desire to introduce people to the needle. I doubt this is a revelation, but that can be a extremely slippery slope.

May I ask why you think it's less creepy because the OP is a girl?

I know you're not asking me, but its probably some kind of weird, backwards double standard, I don't know. Maybe my added info also helped make it less creepy; these aren't random people that I just met who I am, like, snatching off the street and molesting!

That's a good question. I was kind of self examining when I said it doesn't make much sense, but it does make it less creepy.
Because it doesn't make sense. There's a different mental image I get of a male doing this kind of thing and a female doing this kind of thing.

It probably has something to do with traditional "roles". Males, traditionally being the typically assumed abuser in a situation like that. Also, I'd think my own personal experience(s) has something to with it.
I'm trying to be analytical. I'm not saying it's right. I know there's plenty of dangerous females around.....

With a show of hands, who read the original post and assumed it was a guy? I would guess most people, but I don't know.

Interesting. The added info, in knowing I wasn't raping strangers off the street, didn't factor into your reasoning at all? When I (somewhat jokingly) asked if it made it less creepy, though, I knew that it would, and for the reasons you mentioned and a backwards double standard. But they're also my own experiences, and I know the people involved, and their reactions, and what happened afterwards, etc., so.. *shrug*.
It is interesting though from the perspective you mentioned.

I was just specifically reacting to the question that was asked me. More a general reaction. Not so much specific to your situation.

As far as your added info's impact- It makes a big difference that it was a SO, you had clearance, etc.
I wasn't trying to minimize your input. Just specifically giving my thoughts on my thought process regarding why it's generally less creepy thinking about a girl doing that.
I definitely took your input into account. Didn't mean to give the impression I was ignoring it. :-).

Oh, my mistake, I was thinking you were explaining more along the lines of my specific post (god, that makes me seem so conceited!), which is why I asked, sorry!

I dated a gal who was into needles alot. She loved to shoot other people up. She shot some dope in my cock while I shot some coke in my arm or coke in my cock while I shot dope in my arm. I should note thats really dangerous and really not all that stimulating. She seemed really into it. I just liked to do two injections at once. Her biggest thing was to shoot people up who had never shot up before. I really couldnt stand that about her. I personally think its fucked up to encourage people to start using the needle. She would encourage people saying how much better it feels and what not. I think its bollocks cuz I know my life would be alot better if I had not gotten into shooting up.

I have had women ask me to shoot them up and have on occasion if they were already users. Most all of them seem to enjoy it more than just the drug you know. Its like they like the submissiveness of allowing me to inject them. Its not like that for me, but I see the apeal none the less. With BDSM type of behaviour its all about the exchange of power.

For the record Im not knocking this, I just dont think its good to encourage other people to heighten their drug habits or to use unsafe practices. But if you enjoy this by all means. And yeah I dont think its weird at all for you to be turned on by this.
