I have no idea why, and I dont have a huge benzo tolerance or anything but whenever I take Clonazepam it has no effect on me what-so-ever.. I know its a long acting benzo that takes awhile to kick in and all that shit but even when I take big doses it still has no effect at all the entire day. For example, I took 10mgs of Clonazepam the other day and I felt nothing like all the other benzos feel like... I always say klonopin is like the Suboxone of the benzodiazpine class of drugs b/c it last all day and you get no 'high' or even a 'good feeling' from them... And when I took that 10mg dose I was around my mom all day and she can always tell if im on something and she didn't notice anything the whole day. I'm guessing Clonazepam just doesn't work on me. I mean maybe if I had anxiety problems it would work but its no good for recreation and it SUCKS as a sleep aid.. Clonazepam has never made me tired or drowsy at small or large doses....

Sucks you can't feel klonopins. They are very subtle but when they kick in I can tell instantly, and it's such a great feeling. Almost like a psychedelic. But no, they don't cause drowsiness, infact the opposite for me. I often end up staying up all night if I took a klonopin. Wonderful drug, much better than valium.

Its just I've read online other people say the same thing that k-pins don't really effect them and was wondering if anyone out there in the BL community feels the same as me about Klonopin?

...Basically, to me, Clonazepam is the the 'Suboxone' of benzos. No high, last long and long half life. And I am sure if you gave someone in benzo w/d's a k-pin it would take them out of w/d's... I guess Klonopin is more or less a drug used for people that really do have anxiety and can't be popping xanaxs (or another short-acting benzo) through-out the day and don't want the drowsiness that most all other benzo's create.

And whats this I hear that Clonazepam causes insomnia? Don't they friggin prescribe the damn stuff for insomnia/anxiety?!?!?

Same here... I don't take near the amount of the OP.

But .5 or 1mg and I don't feel anything.

1mg of xanax and I am ready for bed if I am not having an anxiety attack.

Good topic.

If you don't like it, switch to another benzodiazepine.

If you're used to other short-acting/fast-onset benzodiazepines, and have a tolerance to them, clonazepam may not be of much use to you. If you actually have generalized anxiety disorder, and take your medication as prescribed, it's has great efficacy.

This topic really has been covered to death, but I'll keep your thread open anyways for the time being.

Get your genome sequenced

hahaha.

i know my cloz works for me and if i ever feel it doesn't all i have to do is ask someone close to me and they are like "yeah you are much better since you took your pills" so.

yes it is for people who have anxiety and yes better than short acting for me because i'm a wreck when i come down off those.

it doesn't knock me out and it doesn't keep me awake. it makes me able to overcome my goddamn anxiety and not be agoraphobic.

not even taking ambien makes me tired, i just use that during the day to help with anxiety. i don't know what the hell those soccer moms hallucinating and driving into trees are talking about.

Benzos are a horrible class of drugs to attempt to take recreationally due to the high risk low reward you get from them. The withdrawals are horrible and definitely aren't worth it for the low amount of euphoria you get from them. I take valium for my anxiety and wish I didn't have to take it, but I'm working on getting off it again but even at just 5mg/day it's extremely difficult.

If the clonazepam doesn't work for you then don't push it by trying to make it work for you. All that's doing is raising your tolerance to all the other benzos you enjoy, without giving you any good affects in the process.

I appreciate it. I found it relevant and took a couple of years hiatus from reading here. The volume of information is huge and the influx of new members means topics will be repeated. I find it helpful if a topic is closed due to repetition or the existence of a mega thread, a link tossed in is very helpful for those of us lost in the maze of bluelight. :)

I'm closing this on the basis that it does not meet the harm reduction standards for BDD. PM any question. Tommyboy I think really summed up all the info you need on this very well.
