hello friends, it has been so long since I have been on here and I miss you all. Sorry but this is going to be very quick and I'm sure I could find it in the search engine but I don't have time... not like I'm too good to search have very good reason so please trust me.
I have run out of fentanyl patches. I'm on my last one day 4. I will not be able to get my prescription renewed until the 24th of this month. How bad will withdrawals be?
I have read so many different things, I don't know what to expect. I have never gone any longer then one day without, so I am very scared. Will I end up having to go to the hospital? Any suggestions on how to make it?
I apologize for any errors in typing. I am using my microphone and sometimes it messes up.
Love, Cat
PS I really am sorry for starting a new thread when I could probably find the information. It is very very important that I am quick about this though. Thank you for understanding

I don't really know anything about opiates / opioids but you haven't given enough information for an edcuated answer.. (You haven't told us your history of opiate abuse / addiction)

Plus.. Withdrawals are highly subjective..

Sorry, thanks for pointing that out. I have been on 100mcg every two days for approximately 2 years. I take oxycodone (350 mg day) for breakthrough pain at the maximum.
sorry again for being such a rush. Thanks again for pointing out the shortcomings of original post:)

No problem :) Like i said.. I have no idea how bad the withdrawals will be buuut..

I've heard loperamide can help with withdrawals? Also.. is codeine OTC where you live (remembering to CWE)?

You might also want to look into Kratom.. I've heard it's helped many opiate addicts through withdrawals..

thanks a lot for the response. Absolutely no codeine and have no idea about kratom... I don't know what to do. I can feel the very beginning of withdrawals coming on ( uncontrollable yawning, running nose and watery eyes just a feeling of ill being with a touch of nausea and major anxiety) and my last patch has been on for 4 days already and after this I have no more until the mentioned date.
some web-sites claim this withdrawal is merely uncomfortable, others claim it can be deadly..

As far as i know opiate withdrawals are very rarely (/never) deadly.. Just seriously uncomfortable..

The loperamide will definitely help with diarrhea and should help with nausea, too (which is not only good for comfort but good for keeping fluids and nutrients inside you).. Brand name is normally Immodium.

As far as I know Kratom is legal in most places.. where you from? You should be able to find a reliable vendor online which will have the option of next day delivery or what not.

do you still have your oxy left you use for breakthrough? if so youre best bet is to space that outcas best you can to keep the pain to the minimal level it delivers.

speaking from experience having been on fentany forva reasonable amount of time the acute stage during the first 3 days can be hellacious but pretty easy there after as it clears very quick from your body as a result of its extremely short halflife.you will have t

if youve no oxy nor any other opioud to help smooth things a little bit then i would try to acquire some of the essentials to give as soft landing as possible. ie - imodium (loperamide) for the shits, an NSAID for aches n pains. a calmative such as doxylamine succinate and of course, if you do start withdrawal, nice light and healthy range of wholefoods such as fruit n veges. yoghurt and soups and fibres are highly suggested by me as theyre some of the staples i use through withdrawals. ymmv as this is what i find works for me

and keep well hydrated! this is most important and essential!

Hi my darling Tentram!
It is really good to hear from you. Yes I have some oxycodone IR 30mg ( prescribed to take two and a half every 4 hours PRN for breakthrough )but I know I am already going to run out of that early as well. I have really messed up the last month or two.
Also I have on hand: Benedryl, a few Alprazolam ( enough for maybe 5 or 6 doses), promethazine ( unusual dose for me ... the pills are 25mg vs the 12.5 I've always gotten in the pas...MPH ( Which I have never found to be helpful during withdrawals), and clonodine... probably 9 or 10/ 0.1mg.
I can easily get some Loperamide and ibuprofen or whatever at any drug stor
Its just that I have read several things online about people having to go to the hospital ( along with many other horror stories) relating to fentanyl withdrawal.
I have no idea what to expect as far as ability to function or lack thereof.

EDIT : I am one lucky person. I managed to get one patch, which will definitely help. Just put it on. So now the story is I will be going from approximately the 19th until the 24th without. I'm thinking that will be quite a bit more tolerable. I am still very interested to hear anyone else's experience or knowledge.
I thought I had posted this before, but it did not go through for some reason.... this is why the entire post looks like it was done at the same time.
Thank you everybody for reading. Again I really miss this forum. I also really appreciate those who have sent me private messages concerned about my well being... you know who you are :)

Mac,
If i was you i would cut down on the roxys for the next four days since u got the patch on, and for the days you dont have the patch, up your dose on the roxys.. At least thats what i would do;)

The patches still contain a ton of fent. Do you still have them? Cut into strips and use bucally.
