Well, to start I've looked around the web and haven't got a too detailed answer for my questions, besides an answer basically saying pot is harmless and i shouldnt worry, or its a very dangerous cancer causing drug (lol) But here goes...

I have a slight problem that has made me debate quitting my usage of cannabis.

To start I've been using cannabis in all forums for about 6 years now, recently (past few months) I've had high blood pressure (I'm not overweight, I walk about 45mins a day, it may be from low blood sugar. No idea) anywho, I know cannabis is said to lower blood pressure and raise the heart rate, but my first question is should i be smoking cannabis (anything really) if I have a constantly high bloodpressure? Like are there ANY health concerns from smoking in relation to heart problems like stroke and/or blood vessels being damaged.

My other question is what is the detailed cause of the heart rate increasing after smoking? I've read it's due to carbon levels or something in the blood stream causing organs to not receive the amount of oxygen needed, as to why the heart speeds up.

Am I at any risk? Or am I just anxious? I have a BP of around 120/90 (normal days can be higher) and a bpm of about 64-70. After smoking my bpm has shot up to 140-150+ before, but not often. Average is about 120-130.

Any answers are much welcomed. Thanks in advance.

Shouldn't be a problem unless you have heart problems or hyperthyroidism.

In which case - the massive amount of Norepinephrine that is released by cannabis could cause your heart to burst - if you have heart problems. Or is you have hyperthyroidism, this massive amount of norepinephrine is going to make you sweat like a pig, feel really nauseous, make all your muscles ache really bad, and give you pretty awful insomnia.
