Believe it or not, I was thinking about you this morning, pontifex01 - good to know you're OK.
Guys also quick question: I hit one of the F keys by accident and now Firefox has gone full-screen/the start bar has disappeared. How do I undo this? Help please!
don't do it.
Only downside - the stupid and unnecessary tourist rip off 'tricks' that a lot of places seem to think is necessary. (order two beers and you get a bowl of nibbles with them, the nibbles cost you 2€ when your bill arrives[stupid stuff like that])
Istanbul? Lucky bugger - went there when I was a kid and loved it, would leap at the chance to go back. Did you go with mates or was it a solo globetrotter type thang?
It is a bit like that, innit? I guess you should know what to expect when you arrive at the airport and they skank you for ten quid as a kind of processing fee for going through passport control. Great seafood there, although I dread to think what it eats.
Talking of tourist rip off tricks there was a British couple on the BBC news this morning that were charged £54 for 4 ice creams in Rome.Bearlove said:Only

Reminds me I used to have this recurring dream when I was a small child (around 6) of being chased through the woods by a velociraptor (post- Jurassic Park) and that was always what I did, let it eat me so I'd wake up.
Anyway just popping in to say hello to everyone and apologise for not having answered any PMs. Thanks a lot to everyone who offered help, support, or just simply thought of me and the people affected by Aaron's death. It's been a slow climb but things are kind of sort of falling back into place. Funeral really did a number on me though. Won't go into any details but some elements of it made it impossible for me to interpret it in any way whatsoever as something that could bring closure, in any way.
Carry onI hope everyone's been behaving.

The mayor of Rome got to hear of it and has invited them to come back to Rome and I guess they may just get some free ice cream thrown in as well.
turkey is lovely, especially further down the coast, some really nice towns and beaches, and the interior aswelll is lush.
sardines ftw!

I'm not a bad person , never have been .
hmmmphhahaha i have a jar which counts which coins you put into it and keeps a tally, from play.com or some other site, for my shrapnel.
So a while ago someone was saying that you can put your loose change collection (in my case a jar of 2 and 1 p pieces) into those automatic till machines in supermarkets as they have a funnel for coins. In practice it's not much fun because the machine can only count coins quite slowly, not like those Coinstar jobbies which are designed to handle volume. So what happens is that about half your coins get counted and about half just spew straight out again. It's not a very low profile or high speed way of buying things.
I have a feeling that pouring lots through it might actually have caused it to err in my favour ever so slightly, can't be sure, but it seemed to reach the £1 mark without making a massive dent in the jar,
